I guess the question will be if there have been similar crimes and what charges were brought against the defendant?
-
I just hope they have the right guy/guys.

I had this talk with my Wife years ago about this. I asked her to please fight back. She looked at me like I was an idiot and told me if they were going to kill her, they'd have to do it on the spot. I only asked that she have an empty mag when it was over. I need to have this talk with my Daughter. She once asked me if monsters existed. I told her they did, but they don't look like they do in the movies. She asked me what they looked like and my Wife told her "They look like your Father, your teacher, or your neighbors". It's very important that you don't look like a victim.

https://hogswat.com/ https://hogassault.com/ Never hunted with either. This is just an example. There are cheaper places, but travel expenses go up due to distance.

There are outfitters that'll provide night hunting equipment. They'll also take you day hunting. Dogs will be used in some cases. They even have knife hunts. You just have to be willing to drive to Texas, Arkansas, South Carolina, or Georgia. I've never hunted Alabama, but you can probably find places down there. The guide is always with you in most cases if it's an eradication hunt. Don't bother with the trophy hunting places. You'll need to find a couple of guys to go with you. They'll sometimes put you with another party, but people typically want to know the guy banging out rounds next to them.

Are you talking day hunting or night hunting?

They have a guy and he's been charged.

Most people don't own their hunting land. They get permission from the owner, do a hunting lease, or hunt family land. You'll need to do some leg work. Someone may let you shoot a doe on their place.

Honestly the best thing you can do is get hunting land and invite someone to go. It is so hard to get someone to let you hunt. The good spots are good because of how much work goes into the place the entire year. Then everyone wants to hunt your land. If you have the land, most guys will be happy to hunt with you. They may even invite you to their place. When you say "take me hunting", most hear "let me shoot your deer". The other thing is safety. Getting shot sucks. Dealing with someone who shot themselves sucks. Dealing with someone who shot someone's cow sucks. You can say you're a great shot and safe, but you kinda need to prove it to most people.

How to ship a firearm for service?
Alleycat72 replied to billyblazes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
You mean that you guys don't just take it apart, put it in a smaller box, and label it "pipe wrenches "? I hate more than anything shipping a $10k+ optic off and having to put what it is and the value on it. Shipping NFA is fun also. -
The 4.6L engine in the Mustang was bad about engine ticks. It uses a two chain system for the overhead cam. If the chain tensioner gets worn a little, it'll start to tick. Doesn't hurt anything really, but it's anything. After we blew up the engine, I replaced the chains, tensioner, and the clutch when I rebuilt it. I'm not super familiar with Toyota engines, but I'd lean towards something like that.

I've done that a bunch on injectors.

With good ammo, you're going to get 30 to 50 yard runners. That's with the typical supersonic hart/lung shot. Black tips will get you a pass through. 125 Nosler bt is a good bullet and it will stop just under the skin on the off side. 110 V Max will never exit and do a bunch of damage. Nothing will instantly drop unless you have a CNS hit. I probably have around 50ish kills with the 300 blackout/Whisper. Probably witnessed 30-40 more. I Have some subsonic kill videos from when I was just learning the sub game and getting my reputation started, but several are 308 sub kills.

I've put a bunch of 308 projectiles on targets out to 1k with a 20" barrel. A lot were 147 tracers.

Help me understand Tennessee hunting regs
Alleycat72 replied to Darrell's topic in Hunting and Fishing
Oh no...I've got one better. You can spoof your GPS. Shoot a deer in Russia, White house lawn, or 30k feet over the Atlantic Ocean. -

Email them. Keep the email response in your records. That way you don't get into a "The guy on the phone said " argument. -

Tags are electronic now. It's done on you phone and gps recorded. You can download paper temporary tags, but they are included when get a license on your phone. You just have to print them off. You are required to "tag before you drag" in TN. I very rarely get a license anymore for normal hunting. I usually hunt on my own land, but if you have the smallest possibility of hunting 1 inch off your property, get a license. It's easy to forget and hunt with a buddy one day on his place without a license. -
They are no different than bolt guns conceptually as far as accurizing goes. Once you get a good foundation and a few tools, changing barrel/cal is a 5 minute job.

I have a green mountain 18" on a Seekins precision that's an honest 1/2 moa gun. 3 shots are incredibly tight. 5 shots usually just under 1/2. 10 shots in the .600s. All at 100 yards. It's a fantastic rifle. At 750 it gets up to 1.5 moa. If it's not free floating you'll never get it's full potential.

If it's a "temporary" change and you can put it back to the original form 1 condition than you don't have to do anything. If it's permanent, then you can send a letter to the ATF with the updated configuration. The OAL will be with the stock fully extended.
