  1. Some will run undersized bullets and some will not. The longer bullets seem to work better when you're doing this however twist becomes an issue and some point.
  2. I have a 20 year old kid that's itching to go. If I take him, I'll want him to be able to shoot. He'd be happy just to carry the gear, but i just wouldn't feel good about it.
  3. Yeah, I have a guy who's dad owns a gun manufacturer everyone here has heard of wanting to go now. They are waiting on the what the Dr says in 2 weeks. I may go and just run the hand held. I got guy that will carry the gun and trypod, but I hate putting someone out like that. 22 hours of riding in a truck just to carry my stuff.
  4. One of two things would happen 1: They would have had to shoot me. 2: Two I would have gotten my Wife out. I would probably be dead or going to prison but I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I didn't do it.
  5. I think Kings have some spm Rob.
  6. Town is more like the outskirts of small towns. Lots of houses, but outside of any city limits.
  7. I'll be good. I did weigh all the rifles prior to the surgery. They are all a no-go for at least 2 weeks. I have a couple of guys that offered to carry my gear and set it up if I'll run the gun. They are a pain in the arus sometimes, but you can't beat beat them.
  8. And the crew keeps texting wanting to know when they can put a rifle back in my hands. LOL Some people's children.
  9. 308 is my main night cartridge. I've shot a staggering amount of 308. It's biggest problem is that it's not sexy anymore. For hunting, my cut-off is 450 yards. Most bullets break the 1800 fps barrier at that point. I've done quite a bit of 1k yard target shooting with it also. If I'm shooting in town I do fall back to the 5.56 for safety reasons.
  10. A bit of a tip: a flat bottom boat with a small engine will greatly increase your chances on public land.
  11. About two years ago, I realized I didn't own a single conventional deer rifle.
  12. Hot for bow. Lots of insects Cool mornings and warm evenings muzzleloader. Cool to cold for rifle. Rain will taper off by then and expect ice more than snow.
  13. + what is the question. + 150 yards + 1500 yards
  14. I'll just plug mine into the diesel generator. LOL
  15. Not the best movie, but I always liked this quote.
  16. It really depends on your target. It'll take the head or leg off a squirrel. I've never had a pig head or deer head come completely off. The sample size is also quite large so.....
  17. I use a ultrasonic cleaner.
  18. Anyone know have or know where a some is? A new project is coming up and need to see in tin star solves one of the problems.
  19. I would get an electric car, but I don't want to destroy the environment. They have to get battery changes down to a couple thousand dollars and be able to recycle them properly. I will still drive my 700 hp Studebaker and the SUV. I think some form of EVs are the future, but they shouldn't be mandatory. We are at the moment when gas vehicles starting hitting the streets and they were inferior to the steam cars. I think in the next 5-10 years, you'll get 1k miles on a charge an be able to change batteries as routine maintenance.
  20. Is this like some communist and Islamic countries "eliminating" homosexuality?
