  1. My Wife and I don't track one another. If I'm doing something that can go sideways, I'll give her a time limit and a Google maps pin. If she doesn't hear from me by that time, she'll call at least 3 times. If I don't answer then she'll send the police to the pin. Tracking someone without their consent is a whole different matter. It would have to be a family member that was being self-destructive or worse.
  2. It's good to know we're not the only ones. LOL
  3. We get a notifications when they get home or are leaving home. We can find their location anytime, but I have issues doing that. If I need to know, I'll just call.
  4. Years ago we set up GPS tracking on our Daughter. It was something she had to accept if she was driving. I felt there would come a time when dad shouldn't know everywhere his Daughter goes, so we set it up so only Mom could monitor. When she turned 18 I kinda felt like it should be turned off. I didn't want it off, but at some point I felt it would be an invasion of privacy. I brought this up to my Wife when my Daughter started MTSU. My Wife's response was "Hell no we're not turning it off". She explained that she'd already had that conversation with Regan and Regan wanted in on. She liked the idea that if anything happened, dad would be on the way. That's not exactly how it was worded, but she knows me. My Sister-in-law has been single her entire life and my Wife tracks her. My sister-in-law insisted on this. She lives 5 hours away and if she disappeared, it would be weeks before anyone really noticed. (Her work place would, but they'd assume she quit ". Now I'm in a position where we track the movements of multiple people. We get alerts when they leave the house or get home. We know when they get to work, church, or hit the gym. I kinda feel it's gotten weird and out of hand. Everyone wants this and asked for this. I don't understand, but I'm a guy. They've told me how much better they feel knowing someone is always looking out for them. How do you guys feel about this? Do you track your kids? I hate "big brother", but I'm being told their life is better because of this. Granted I'm not big brother and they requested my Wife track them.
  5. I run two Christensen arms mpr rifles. One is a 6mm Creedmoor. The second is technically a 12.5 308 mpp, but I form 1ed it and it was approved 2 weeks before the pistol brace ban. I do love both.
  6. A delrin spacer can be placed between the cut down bolt and spring.
  7. Are you going to put a return spring in it. You'll be able to pull it back and just let go.
  8. LOLOLOL I....may.....have been pepper sprayed and punched in the face with a fire extinguisher at a White Zombie concert by a cop.....
  9. My Daughter always checks her tires the old fashioned way. Just can't get her to use a gauge.
  10. So my pickaxe handle in my Jeep is illegal. Guess I'll just use my shotgun .
  11. I didn't get sued, but the guy lived due to our actions. He should not have. He died in the ambulance on the way to life flight and died in the helicopter, but they got him back. His parents left a message crying and thanking us. We bounced without giving our name, but someone tracked us down.
  12. We keep kits around and in all the vehicles. Unfortunately Narcan had to be added. It's not supposed to be kept in a truck, but it's better than nothing.
  13. Last chance before I pull all the cool stuff and put it on gunbroker.
  14. That makes all 4 kids with a broken bone of some sort. My wife and I have no records of broken bones. I did crack some ribs once, but I didn't report it. Hopefully at 14, this will be the last cast in the house.
  15. I've been looking for a second 5.56 can and that's been fun.
  16. My 5.56 Thunderbeast is awesome. My Cyclone is probably the most accurate 30 cal I have, but it's heavy. I'm happy with my Rugged Radiant and both Q 30 cal cans. They are my work horses. My 9mm Ti-rant is fantastic, but it doesn't get used much. The SSK was my first and it's huge and heavy. My YHM wraith sounds good, but it can't be taken apart. I wouldn't do that over. My 458 Elite iron was a nightmare.
  17. In all fairness, when you get hit..sh#t gets weird. First aid kit usually goes on at least one guys chest rig. Everyone knows who has is, but honestly not everyone knows how to use it. We are just night hunters, but we keep I tight. Two of use a up to speed and the idea we'd both get hit is not likely.
  18. I have 3 in my jeep. Also keep quick clot and 4 sucking chest wound seals. This is all in a first aid kit and its marked as such. Usually we have narcan, but I reserve the right to refuse on that one.
  19. On my last hunt, I walked just under 8 miles at night with 20 lbs of gun, ammo, and tripod through muddy fields. It's a blast, but by 4:30 in the morning...I'm smoked. That kind of hog hunting may or may not be what you want to do. You can hunt with dogs. Guys hunt out of a blind during the day. There are knife and spear hunting trips. High fence hunting. Hog swat will take you around in a heated or cooled van, find the hogs, and you get to use their equipment and ammo. (I've never hunted with them) It's kinda depends on what you want to do. I hunt at night only. I've never even hunting during the day so my experience is zero for day hunting. I have been in a unintentional knife fight with a hog. I do not recommend.
  20. How well does he get around and what kind of hog hunting do you want to do? Some hog hunting involves a bit of walking over bad terrain. Some of it is relatively easy.
  21. It's literally synthetic gas. It will last for years in a sealed container. I can't remember the exact time, but it's like 7-8 years sealed....2 ish sitting in your tank. We looked at getting 100 gal at a time for small generators, but we ran through gas so fast it didn't justify the cost. It's not inexpensive.
