Silencer Shop slower than the government?
Alleycat72 replied to JimFromTN's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Silencer shop helped set up efileing with the atf. Silencer shop got preferential treatment on approval time because of it. Atf got their own system up and running. Silencer shops system is now an extra level of paperwork you need to get through if you want a suppressor from them. -

The big thing is getting the forklift in and out of Ft Campbell after loading all of that brass by the ton auctions. -

WTF are you talking about. I'm just answering questions. If you want 3 cans that cover everything, that's fine. If he wants 1 that does it all, that's fine. I have about 15 cans. That's also fine. I don't see what you're problem is. Let him make his own decision. -
8 in front and 8 in the rear. You'll need to look at your gun. They are factory sighted in and may have different sizes sights from the factory.

Typically you get a suppressor like this for say a 308. It will be set up for the rifle with the correct end cap and thread pitch. If you want to run it on a 5.56, you need something that changes the thread pitch. That can be a thread adapter or tail cap. You may run the 30 cal end cap or you can purchase a 224 end cap. If you shoot it on a pistol you need a booster/nielsen device. It will have an tail cap, spring, and piston. The suppressor you get may come with some of this. The price will very a bunch depending on the manufacturer and the material. Titanium will be more expensive. -

Silencerco isn't the only one doing this. Look at hub compatible suppressors. They are anywhere between $75 and $400 depending on the manufacturer and mounting system you want. End caps are all all over the place, but fall somewhere around $100. -

Suppressors are trending to modularity. You can change the tail cap to any thread pitch, but each are $100 or so. You can change the end caps from 46 to 22 to 30, but each are $100ish. You can get a piston and run them on a handgun, but the piston assembly will be $275-300. It's cheaper than getting a separate suppressor for each gun. Dedicated car are usually better for what they are designed for though. -

Yes, I replaced the front sight. It centered the group with the top of the post.

That was before anti bullying. Now kids have no idea how to cope if someone calls them a bad name.

I have 3 adopted children. 4.5 in total if you take in account the 22 year old I have treated as mine for 6 years. (He's not officially adopted)I have a safe in the garage, a safe in the bedroom, several interior doors require key codes. My Wife doesn't have access to either safe. She does know the key codes because one is to the bedroom door. To get a gun you need a key code for the room and access to a safe. Home defense guns are accessible from the bedroom, if you're in the bedroom and you know what to do. My Wife and I are armed at the house. 3 of my adopted kids have issues. The main issue is the absolute absence of emotions from my oldest son. He knows it's an issue. Guns are not apart of his life even though he knows its apart of mine and his older siblings. My youngest son is the opposite. If he witness something get hurt, he'd be devastated. We spend a ton of time in the hospital or Dr with our youngest Daughter. We have had a few issues with the old Daughter due to the amount of time we spend with the other kids, but it was relatively easy with her. It's a delicate balance with them all. Stuff like this scares me to death. My oldest Daughter has won F-Class championships at 1k and 600 yards at 10-12 years old. My 14 year old son doesn't know how to take a safety off an ar15. My Daughter is almost 21 and slinging cows blood on a white background at MTSU so she can get a degree in forensics. It's not always the parents fault however sometimes it is.
