  1. I agree. the Saiga 12 would probably be the better route unless you just love the Street Sweeper. The whole DD thing is weird. With the Saiga if you convert it, it can either be a SBS or just leave it title 1 with the 18 inch barrel. I have heard that the street sweepers are kinda picky as to if they will run or not. But hey if you love the street sweeper go for it, they do look kinda cool. -Jason G
  2. I had Browns in Goodlettsville do all of mine. I have had 3 done and my Dad has also had 3 done by him. I think he does great work. I havent had anything done in few years but mine were $350 for a shoulder mount. -Jason G
  3. I dont think that the P6/225 comes in anything but 9mm. I havent ever seen one. They are nice guns for the money. -Jason G

    M1 Garand Tanker

Yup Glockmeister is right. I was at CMP last Friday and they had National Match Garands for $1500-$2500. You can got to www.thecmp.org for more info on the NM rifles. Click on M1 Garand. -Jason G
  5. Yea the sale ended, i can understand why. My dad bought 7000 rounds. I talked to a guy i know from another mg board and he bought 71 cases. it was prob the last time we see it that cheap again. -Jason G
  6. I hate to see it end like this for Coach Fulmer. But it is time for some new blood on The Hill. Fulmer was a great coach in his time, but the competition has surpassed him and his program. I felt bad seeing him up there all emotional and such but he is in store for a big pay day in the next 48 months so I dont feel too bad. Time will tell if it was the right decision, i think we will be hurt most in the recruiting department unless we get a big name college coach. I would like to see Chucky come up from Tampa Bay, but i dont see a NFL coach leaving to come coach a college team, even if it is Tennessee. -Jason G
  7. I havent shot any yet but if nothing happens I will be going to CMP in AL on Friday to get a Garand and some Lake City and Greek ammo. I will keep you posted. -Jason G
  8. Here you go hot shot, I dont think you will still be so confident after you shoot the .577 T-Rex. -Jason G
  9. Mine are prob .357's out of a 340PD scandium (spelling?) frame Smith and Wesson and a .50 Desert Eagle, I dont know why the DE was so bad, I can shoot a .500 S&W with no prob at at, but the DE was brutal. As far a rifles my .338 Remington Ultra Mag with punish you after 2 or 3 shots. -Jason G
  10. Yea the 556 pistol is just beggin to be SBR'd. -Jason G
  11. PLus they just look awesome! -Jason G
  12. My bes to your son and the whole family. -Jason G
  13. I vividly remember my first deer, I killed him on the young sportsman hunt with my dad. Take it all in because this is a memory that he will remember for the rest of his life. That is just awesome!! -Jason G
  14. Thank you for everything you do. Stay safe and I wish you a quick and safe return. -Jason G
  15. If I was going to buy one today it would be the Dan Wesson Classic Bobtail. They fit my hand so well. And they come with night sites. They are just a sweet gun. As for the new Delta Elites I played with them at the SHOT Show in Feb and they were going to "ship soon", now we are half way through October and they are still going to "ship soon" this is par for the course for Colt, there is no telling when or if they will hit the publics hands. They are nice guns though. -Jason G
  16. I have a couple of places where I am at peace. One would be in a tree stand on the little farm in Robertson County. As the sun just crest the horizon and there is frost on the ground the earth seems like it is still. It is the best definition of silence that i know. I dont hunt to kill, I hunt to "get away", being out there lets your mind rest from the everyday hustle and bustle. If I kill a deer its just an added bonus. Another place that put at peace was sitting on the beach in Kona Hawaii at sunset. Just looking out over the ocean know there is nothing between me and the rest of the world for 2000 miles is great. When the sun is about to go down over the water, it is magical. Below is a pic from my trip to Hawaii last summer. Lastly is just being with my family. It dosent matter where we are we always have a good time.
  17. If I was going to buy SBR already built I would go with the 10.5 inch. I am seeing more and more of these around. I think if you ask me this a year ago I would have told you get the 11.5, because they semmed to be the hot length then. -Jason G
  18. There is a transferable one on subguns.com for sale. For the non NFA crowd this means you, yes you normal Joe blow citizen CAN own a mini gun. I think there are 12 transferables. By the way did I mention it can be yours for the low low price of $285,000. http://www.subguns.com/classifieds/index.cgi?db=nfafirearms&website=&language=&session_key=&search_and_display_db_button=on&results_format=long&db_id=13952&query=retrieval
  19. TN is a "shall sign" state. He has 15 or 30 day to find a reason not to sign off for you. But if he dosent find a reason why you shouldnt have a NFA item then he has to sign. If you dont have anything on your record he will sign for you. I know 2 guys who he signed for, no problem. TN is one of the most NFA friendly states in America by the way. -Jason G
  20. You are right alot of them are doctors and lawyers. A lot of them are just rich guys who love guns. I have seen a new Bentley parked in the shooters parking lot and I have also talked to a guy who spent $30,000 plus on his ammo he shot on Knob Creek weekend. Some of them are class 3 dealers who put there post samples threw the paces. One guy I know shot 229,000 rounds of .308 threw a mini gun in 2004. But mini guns are what he does for a living. And some guys bought a bunch of machine guns in the 80's and early 90's when the were "cheap" enough where a regular Joe could afford them and they got a place on the firing line. This is what I personally know about the shooters up there. -Jason G
  21. What was your timeline for the paperwork? How long did it take door to door? Great looking rifle by the way. -Jason G
  22. Start saving now, you only have 6 months till the the next Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot. It is the second weekend in April, usually a muddy shoot. Is it April yet? -Jason G
  23. Mid South Shooters Supply in Clarksville is the best around in my opinion. They dont have a store front but you get the catalog, call in your order and go pick it up, they will have it waiting. They have one of the best selections in the state and do huge mail order business. www.midsouthshooterssupply.com -Jason G
  24. hey guys just wondering if anyone is headed to Knob Creek for the bi-annual machine gun shoot and show? We are headed out Thurs. morning and will be back early Sunday morning. It is the place to be if you are intrested in assualt weapons, ANYTHING NFA related, military stuff. -Jason G
  25. Nice AR, the color is sweet. Now ATF needs to hurry up and get my paper work back. -Jason G
