I'm not a big fan of the LDA, but there are a lot of guys out there that like them.

In the new FPS Russia video he is testing the Slide Fire Solutions bump fire stock. At about 25 seconds into the video he says, "what I have here is my PWS AR pistol." If it is a LDA CCO then it is a Para.

I have the Operators II on mine. They are plent aggressive. Anything more would be cheese graders.

If you are a 07/02 it would probably be in your best intrest not to rely on gun forums for techinal and legal advice. I'm not trying to be a smart ass but there is a lot of mis-information out there by people who have no idea what they are talking about. Get "The Machine Gun Dealers Bible" by Dan Shea. There is a ton of info in there. Also make ATF.gov your friend.

Oh my Gosh, plugs and coil packs are a nightmare.

I always figured that on these high profile missions that it would be a mix of guys (Army CAG, DEVGRU, CIA SAD, PJ's, SOAR, etc.). See Task Force 121. Maybe they figure the media will screw it up less if they just say one unit carried out the mission? Anyway, great job to the guys who got the job done.

A 07/02 does not have to have a LEO letter to build a machine gun. But they do have to notify ATF by filling out a form 2 when they build one.

They have complete 12" uppers on the site, but no plain 12" barrels. Maybe they are just out.

I'll watch. Not really a big NFL guy though. I'm not a fan of the Pats at all, so I will be pulling for the Giants.

Hesse/Vulcan made a LMG copy upper. They were A3's and sell for less than $600. And they are junk. They just look like the LMG. Most of the time the fit and finish is bad. If it is a Hesse/Vulcan it will have a standard gas tube in it. If is a Colt if will have a bigger gas tube. Like almost twice the size of a regular one and it will be thicker. Just the uppers sell for $1500+-.

So it is an A2 like in the pic?

I talked to a bunch of people today who went and were disappointed. About the only shows I think are worth going to anymore are the huge show in Louisville and Knob Creek.

That would be sweet if someone found an old Colt LMG upper and just put it on the DPMS lower. I have always loved the look of the LMG. If it is a Colt, the rear of the receiver will be re-enforced and it will have a huge gas tube that will also be thicker than a standard one. The orginal LMG's were open bolt, but the upper can be ran on a standard closed bolt lower. If it is an LMG upper, they bring big bucks. My buddy did one right after they came out with the pistol version. That thing is tons of fun with a .22 suppressor on it.

Guys, after reading the five pages of debate I have come to my conclusion. I dont care the ability to pick up ammo off of dead soldiers. The drop in velocity doesnt bother me that much. I have my SBR's because I think they are cool. Simple as that. I wanted to build a MP5 clone and they have a 9" barrel, so that's what I did. And I just like the look of a 10.3" barrel AR. Call me crazy if you like, but that is my answer. Oh, and chicks dig short barrels.

My AR's are pretty reliable. I'll give you the other two, but you can't say AR's are not reliable.
