I can tell you as an LEO, I usually let CPH slide on minor traffic citations. I feel like they are vetted good people for the most part. We all know that there are some bad apples who have permits. Just like there are bad people in every aspect of the world. Sure you don't have to volunteer the info. Just like you don't HAVE to change your oil every 3000 miles but it makes good sense. Tell them and see where it goes. What bad can come from it?

you guys know anyone wanting to offload a gas blow back pistol, I am need of one. I don't need anything special just something that works. I have a lot of stuff I am willing to trade. I post this here cause it seems to be getting the attention of the airsofters on the board. I am not using it to game with, it will be used as a bad guy gun for a small class I am doing. Too small of class for sims but airsoft fits the bill.

tnroadrunner is correct. we will be hosting Tom Givens at the McEwen Rod and Gun Club. I am really looking forward to the class. Hope to see some of you there.

I am going to try and make this. Rob is a great guy and a very good instructor. Don't miss this opportunity to get some great training.

Contact the law enforcement in your area if want want something done. It is possible to have a criminal summons issued for the person making the calls. This would require you to go to court when the person you charge has a trail date. An easier route that often works is to have your local LE go by and talk to the person. This works about 60% of the time (guess on the number). Another route is not to answer the phone or set the ring tone to silent as someone else said.

Krav Maga definitely has everyones attention right now. Most anything is better than nothing. I have been studying Wado Ryu for a while now. I really like it. My school is down to earth and we train in several forms but test and concentrate on Wado. Starting in March my school is going to be conducting an MMA class on Saturdays. We will be doing a bit of everything from BJJ, Judo, to Krav. I am really looking forward to the diversity. The important thing is to study an art. If you are truly wanting to defend yourself, you are much more likely to do it with your physical and mental abilities than your handgun. It's best to be proficient in all aspects of the fight!!

I second the fleece jobs. The fleece vests work well also. But the important thing is try not to change the way you dress simply cause you are carrying a weapon. Continue being you!! Good choice on passing the vest up.

I hope your right!

I agree with not answering the door but are you recommending or advocating the killing or shooting of police? The police are not/cannot make entry into your house without probable cause that a crime is being committed or a search warrant. If they come in you should sue. I would contact the Sheriff directly about this matter. If the "high ranking" members that you have talked to still can't solve the problem then seek out your elected official (the Sheriff). Face to face would work better in this case.

Welcome from Waverly as well. I don't get here as much as I would like but good to have more local folks here.

What Todd said is correct. The AG's opinions are followed pretty closely. I believe a jurisdiction can make a city or county ordnance that would require concealed carry. The State makes laws but local governments can make the law a little stricter. Kinda like Memphis having a primary seatbelt law for years even though the state had it as a secondary. My understanding is a jurisdiction can make laws stricter but not less strict if that makes sense.

I want to throw in my two cents in about Mt. Juliet
BIG ROB replied to DaveTN's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I am teaching this as well starting at the end of October in Humphreys Co. I work for the Sheriff here and we are doing the class for $45 for anyone in Tennessee. I like the idea of us doing it. I know Dickson Co teach the HCP class but I do not know what they charge. I am looking forward to it. -
I agree 100%

A wise man once told me, it's not how you stand. With proper sight alignment and trigger control, you will make your hits. You should be moving rather than standing, that why shooting on the move is some important. With that said, that is combat shooting. If I am plinking on a range I shoot modified isosceles.

When The Light Begins To Dawn
BIG ROB replied to The Rabbi's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Great to hear. Now I am not trying to get anyone to train with me. But as you know, their is a big difference in owning a gun and having the ability to use it. Make sure that they get some type of training whether you take them out and get them shooting comfortably or they take a class somewhere. A step in the right direction thats for sure! -
I am a fan of the single point sling, specifically Blue Force Gear. They are indestructible and easy to modify with several different attachments that you can reconfigure your setup with. Take a look at their contractor pack.

Have you tried to call them?

Very good AAR. Thanks for taking the time to type all the info. I am sure you learned a lot in the different sessions. I have not been but I hope to one day!

With the exception of MJ, thats a good list. If you like Rock and don't listen to Black Label Society, your missing out. BLS is great! Clutch is another band that will rock the house. Again, great list!
