Looks like the deputy got charged with 4 counts of ag assault and official misconduct. http://www.wsmv.com/story/36304617/jailer-charged-with-assaulting-inmate-with-stun-gun

With a few tweaks I think the Vols might have a good season. They definitely can't keep giving up over 600 yards of offense and expect to win though.

I having been buying one ladder stand every year and adding it to a piece of property I hunt. As of this coming weekend I will have have 5 ladder stands and a ground blind. That pretty much covers the property. It is defiantly more expensive doing it this way. The nice thing is now, depending on weather, I can sneak into where ever I need to hunt without much noise.

I have never been a fan of hang ons and climbing sticks. It might have something to do with my big gut and wide ass. I prefer ladder stands. A little easier for me to get in and out of and have more room when sitting.

Post the last firearm related thing you bought!

Very nice. Where's the pic of the BSTS you picked up? -
As you are heading into Bellevue on Hwy 100, right after you cross the Harpeth River, the first house on your right is where that paramotorer lives. At least that is where he takes off and lands from. He uses the field behind the house. I have seen him take off and land there a couple of times in the last week or two.

What is it going to be used for? If just for hunting deer then the 629 in 44mag. If you are going to use it for other things then the 45 Colt would be more versatile.

The problem is this is going to be in our office. We do not have access to vent it outside. Thats why i was wondering if anybody had already done a similar set up.
-
I will not be playing with it but a lot of the guys, including my brother, are really excited about it. I will post some pics of the stuff they make.

Decatur Alabama is a cool little town only about 2 hours away from Nashville. I didn't have anything to do Saturday so I drove down and played a round of golf at Point Mallard and then went over to Big Bob Gibsons and had a great bbq dinner. Fun day trip.

We bought a Glowforge https://glowforge.com for the office. The problem is the unit will get here at least a month before the filtration system is ready to ship. You can make your own DIY exhaust filter. There is a lot of info online from people who have done this but I was wondering if there is anybody local who made this kind of filtered exhaust. Looking for info on what parts you used and how you set it up. Yo have to use both a particulate file and a charcoal type for the gasses and odor produced from laser cutting/etching some materials.

I have been watching when I can. I love the LLWS. Its fun watching people play a sport with real passion instead of playing just for a paycheck.

Stolen from the internet but there is some good advice here... RULES FOR MY SON 1. Never shake a man’s hand sitting down. 2. There are plenty of ways to enter a pool. The stairs ain’t one. 3. The man at the grill is the closest thing we have to a king. 4. In a negotiation, never make the first offer. 5. Act like you’ve been there before. Especially in the end zone. 6. Request the late check-out. 7. When entrusted with a secret, keep it. 8. Hold your heroes to a higher standard. 9. Return a borrowed car with a full tank of gas. 10. Don’t fill up on bread. 11. When shaking hands, grip firmly and look him in the eye. 12. Don’t let a wishbone grow where a backbone should be. 13. If you need music on the beach, you’re missing the point. 14. Carry two handkerchiefs. The one in your back pocket is for you. The one in your breast pocket is for her. 15. You marry the girl, you marry her whole family. 16. Be like a duck. Remain calm on the surface and paddle like crazy underneath. 17. Experience the serenity of traveling alone. 18. Never be afraid to ask out the best looking girl in the room. 19. Never turn down a breath mint. 20. In a game of HORSE, sometimes a simple free throw will get ’em. 21. A sport coat is worth 1000 words. 22. Try writing your own eulogy. Never stop revising. 23. Thank a veteran. And then make it up to him. 24. If you want to know what makes you unique, sit for a caricature. 25. Eat lunch with the new kid. 26. After writing an angry email, read it carefully. Then delete it. 27. Ask your mom to play. She won’t let you win. 28. See it on the big screen. 29. Give credit. Take the blame. 30. Write down your dreams.

Nice job. I want to do something like this but I have to buy a go pro first.
-
I will be out there missing them like I do every year.
-
That is good looking. Nice job.

That is perfectly fine as long as the other person did not pay you to buy it for them. Techincally you are buying the gun for yourself. Even if you plan to give it away there is nothing wrong with that as long as they did not give yo the money to buy it and you have no reason to believe they would be disqualified from buying one on their own.
-
I know a local gun shop owner that handled things exactly that way. A couple would come in, pick out the gun, the woman would do the background check and then the guy would try to pay. He always refused the sale. The person who ran the background check always had to pay, at least at his store. It is easy for us to think that is ridiculous but we are not the ones that have to answer to the ATF either. When the ATF writes you up for putting St. instead of Street you get a gun shy.

Really. That sucks.

Of course I had to take the obligatory eclipse selfie... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I can only claim the last pic. The first two were from two guys that work for us.

Perfect weather in Brentwood. It was a lot cooler than I was expecting. We are up on a hill and you could see all the night time photoelectric lights turn on. The bugs also started making a lot of noise right at totality.
