  1. Interesting article. Would love to taste test some of his samples against the real stuff. He claims he has devised a way to make whiskey that is chemically the same and taste the same as 20yo whiskey in 6 days. http://reason.com/reasontv/2018/05/09/bryan-davis-lost-spirits-distillery-booz
  2. I use USPS for long guns. My local office has never asked me to open up a box to inspect the rifle. YMMV
  3. Crap, now my chances have just gone down. Talk about no good deed goes unpunished. I just got the email this afternoon.
  4. The 2018 Tennessee Elk Conservation Tag was awarded to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation (TWRF), a 501(c)3 nonprofit. This coveted tag will be raffled off on August 16, 2018, and the proceeds will benefit elk habitat restoration efforts in Tennessee. One lucky winner will be selected to participate in the fall 2018 rifle elk hunt on North Cumberland WMA in one of the Elk Hunting Zones. The hunt dates will be determined by the Tennessee Fish & Wildlife Commission (TFWC) and announced at the May Meeting. Raffle winner will be announced at the TFWC August meeting. Bass Pro Shops will sweeten the deal even further by outfitting the winner with a brand new Tikka T3X Lite Stainless bolt-action rifle in 7mm Rem. Mag topped with an Oculus Pro Team HD 3x9x40mm rifle scope. That’s right… for only $10 per ticket you get a chance at a once-in-a-lifetime hunting opportunity and a prize package valued at more than $1,000. There is no limit on the number of entries per customer. Take your best shot at a Tennessee trophy elk and enter today! Tennessee state law requires that you must be at least 18 years old to enter. You need not be present to win. The winner must be a U.S. citizen eligible to legally own a firearm according to federal law. The winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with the prize, and must possess the required licenses and permits to participate in the hunt. http://www.twrf.net/store/2018-elk-tag-raffle I bought a few tickets. Good luck to anyone who enters.
  5. I would just politely ask them to finish the job that you paid for and clean the gun.
  6. Finished it today. It is a good listen. Have really enjoyed the interviews with industry professionals and throwing this format in every so often would be a nice change of pace.
  7. I have sold off all of my 10mm 1911s but this has got me excited about adding one back to the stable.
  8. What he said When checking out the seller make sure to really go through his feedback. That will tell you a lot about the person. I have bought and sold quite a few guns on GB and always had good luck.
  9. Well of course the nuclear blast broke the latch.
  10. James Shaw Jr is getting a lot of love and attention from a lot of people right now, as he should be. What I am wondering is, would he be getting the same love and attention from the national media if he had a carry permit and pulled his gun and shot the dude instead of disarming him.
  11. The Waffle House I go to is not posted.
  12. Kahrs are great guns but their triggers are not for everyone. The T series is just over your weight limit but I have always thought they were the best looking Kahrs.
  13. Only people who have been owned by a cat can truly appreciate this.

    Caracal?

No jail time for two unregistered machine guns, I think he did just fine. I actually can't believe he got away with no jail time.
  15. The set of three auto reset gongs runs $200. I bought them at the NWTF convention when they were running a special. If you look closely you can see two straps hanging down from he 4x4. There is another gong that hangs there but I have not put it on yet. https://www.challengetargets.com/product/ARP-80055-H-3PK.html
  16. Finally found time to try out my new steel targets after a little turkey hunting. Hearing the ding is a lot more satisfying than punching holes in paper.
  17. CRS and Dunlop disease...2 of many afflictions
  18. Not likely unless it was fours guys on bicycles...lol
  19. How and when do you decide if it is best to improvise a weapon and fight or hide and barricade yourself somewhere safe?
  20. Or we could just shave off Reds beard. That should at least cover everybody on TGO.
  21. There is a guy named CeeDub or something like that. He is a former Montana game warden and does a lot of videos on Dutch oven cooking. He has segments on a show called The Sporting Chef hosted by Scott Leysath.
  22. Read up on the hunting regulations for coyote. They have changed some over the last few years. Ask specific questions if you can't find the answer. I am sure someone here can point you to the correct regulation. Just FYI, coyotes are not considered big game. Just turkeys, deer, elk, and bear are considered big game if I remember correctly.
  23. I just tried on Tapatalk and it works for me. The swamp was under the General Interest section. I entered the password and I could see all the topics.
