  1. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/844286252 I am guessing @TripleGGG and @FUJIMO
  2. I have an itch for a 4” as well.
  3. Lung clots are nothing to mess with. Glad you are home and ok.
  4. Ask your FFL But I have had a FFL transfer firearms that were driven to him and not by the owner. He did it with just a copy of the owners DL after talking to them on the phone.
  5. Not necessarily. You can take the gun to a FFL and have them log it from your father in law and then transfer it to your wife. When a FFL logs in a firearm they do not log how they received it just that they have it. They may want a copy of your FILs drivers license but it should not matter if the gun was shipped to them or walked in the front door. I know that is how it used to be.
  6. There has already been a lot bickering over if this is going to be any good. I am looking forward to getting one in my hands to see how it feels.
  7. Welcome. Check out Squared Away Customs. They make some nice holsters. https://www.squaredawaycustoms.com
  8. Unless I am buying a carry gun, all the guns I buy are full size. Small guns are not fun at the range.
  9. Climbing stands you carry as a backpack. There are some nice light weight climbing stands that people use when hunting public land. Find a spot that looks promising and climb up a tree. The downside is that they have small seats and platforms. Can't really stretch your legs like you can in a ladder stand. Still hunting is a lot harder than it sounds. I generally prefer to be up in tree verse down on the ground.
  10. Did you ask if it was on sale? I stopped by one today that was completely wiped out but they did not have any sale signs on the ammo case. The clerk said a guy came in yesterday and bought $2400 worth of ammo.
  11. But then how could they get more of your money...
  12. I had never heard of it. The outfitter said it was a must see when you are in the area.
  13. They did have a lot of signs warning about the flash flooding that can occur. I went to school in Ft. Worth and have seen first hand how fast a dry creek bed can turn into a raging river. It's something you do not see around here.
  14. Drove. It is a 14 hr drive. We split it up over two days on the way out there. Coming back we left about 2:30 in the afternoon and drove straight thru arriving about 4:30 in the morning.
  15. While on my crane hunt in Texas I took some time to check out Palo Duro Canyon. It is the 2nd largest canyon in the country. If you like western topography I would highly recommend checking it out. It is a pretty cool place. You are allowed to camp there and it is a great place to hike or just sight see.
  16. I actually got drawn for a sandhill crane tag here in TN. Now I just need to figure out where to go hunt them.
