  1. Do you remember what that engraved browning deer rifle some for? I think it was a Browning.
  2. The bar he was in had the roof ripped off. There is a lot of damage all over Nashville.
  3. My son was in a bar in 5 Points that got hit by the tornado. They were right next to the Basement East music venue that got destroyed. After the tornado passed they stepped outside and the first thing he saw was a women that had been killed by flying debris. He then pulled a injured man out of a car. A group of them were having a hard time getting his bleeding under control. Fire dept. finally showed up and took over and walked the group to a safe space. Physically he is ok but mentally he is pretty shook up.
  4. Let's not forget that you can make numbers say pretty much anything you want depending on how you look at them. Dave your chart shows that all violent crime went up approx 7.5% from 2016, 6000 incidents, to 2017, 6450 incidents. Her claim was the agg assault with a gun went up 25%. Unless all categories within all violent crime went up exactly 7.5% then some went up less and some more to equal the 7.5% increase overall. What is not shared is how many incidents the agg assault with gun represent. If you had 8 incidents in 2016 and 10 in 2017 then guess what, it went up 25%. I am kinda a numbers guy and whenever someone gets specific with a description and a percentage, like agg assault with a gun up 25%, I get very skeptical. She could have just as easily said that all violent crime dropped almost 10% from 2016 to 2018. That is not the story she want to push so she cherry picks numbers to bolster her argument.
  5. Didn’t think the new baby was ready for Jack Browns.
  6. If you are going to do any hunting then go with the 1895 in 45-70. If only target shooting the 1894 will be easier on your shoulder. You really can’t go wrong with 1895. My 45-70 is my favorite lever gun.
  7. This is my second Montana. I love my X2 in 300 win mag. If this one is as accurate as my X2, I will definitely love it.
  8. Just picked this up. Montana American Legend in 7mm Mag. It is hard to tell because the garage lights but this has a gorgeous stock.
  9. Don't know if he is into firearms but check with Michael Scarlett. His office is in Brentwood. He is a great guy and great accountant. Address: 5250 Virginia Way # 220, Brentwood, TN 37027 Phone: (615) 377-4877
  10. This Saturday the 22nd is our 2020 Auction and Banquet. Join us for a celebration of hunting, angling, and the bountiful harvest they provide. Our fifth annual fundraising banquet will feature auctions, games of skill, live entertainment, an open bar, and an Instagram worthy feast. On top of that, Laird Hamberlin, the CEO of SCI will be our special guest. Most importantly, all funds raised will be used to further our mission of preserving and protecting our outdoor heritage through conservation, education, and community service. Friday night, before the banquet, Double Guns of Nashville will sponsor a casual evening where you can talk with our outfitters in a relaxed setting. We’ll have some fabulous food and a clay shooting competition where you can try out some of the best high end shotguns in the world and win great prizes. You do not have to be a member to buy a ticket for the banquet or to participate in the auctions. The auctions are online and there are a lot of awesome trips and gear available to bid on. You can get more information about the event here: http://www.musiccitysci.org You can check out the auction items here: https://www.onlinehuntingauctions.com/Music-City-SCI-Banquet-and-Auction-2020_a40218?m=all Back in December I posted some pics from a sandhill crane hunt I went on. It was purchased at last years auction. There are a lot of US based hunts and a lot of African and European hunts available. I hope to see some of you there.
  11. I can't speak for all hunters but I would never hunt with a gun that looks like that. Just does not look right to me.
  12. Thanks for posting. The auction is on the 7th not the 5th. The problem with online bidding is the buyers premium. In person it is 10%, online is 15% and you have to add another 3% if you pay by credit card. They do have a nice catalog of guns. I might have to head over to Martin on that Saturday.
  13. I appreciate it when you post these sales. I was able to buy a case a couple of weeks ago when you posted the TargetUSA sale.
  14. To a point yes but one of the best lessons I learned about gun safety was when I shot a hole in my roof as a teenager. Being a typical dumbass boy I was trying to be cool and showing my hunting rifle to my girlfriend and put a .30 caliber hole in the ceiling of my bedroom and in the roof of the house. Needless to say my parents were not thrilled. Here is the lesson I learned: Pulling the trigger to see if the safety is on is not the best course of action.
  15. I have not used it but that id a pretty good price. Worth at least buying one box and seeing how it performs. LuckyGunner has a special right now on Remington ammo where you can get it a little cheaper but you have to buy 500 rounds. $275 for 500 rounds. https://www.luckygunner.com/45-long-colt-250-grain-lrn-remington-performance-wheel-gun-500-rounds
  16. I work with a lot of millennials. It always makes me feel old when they do not get a classic movie reference.
  17. I feel the same. Got my mags last week. I just need to test them. I am happy about being able to carry 16 in my 48.
