  1. Nice deer Shaun
  2. Modern inline muzzle loaders are very capable out to 200 yards. For 200 yards I would be shooting 150 grains of powder. For 100 gr I would keep my shots to 100 yards just because of the drop past 100.
  3. Your dad got a nice buck Hozzie. I decided to take this fat little 6 pt.
  4. I am out with my TC Encore. Had a small buck walk by at 7:05 but only caught glimpse of him. Hopefully his daddy will walk by soon.
  5. That looks great. It should be a good hunting rig for you.
  6. Welcome
  7. I have not played around with the new ones but I have had several older GCNM. Classic looks and great quality is what I have found in the ones I have owned. If I was going to buy another one it would be an older version. Also if you don’t like the trigger it is easy to replace.
  8. The woman shot is the one with the beige beanie and headphones standing behind the woman directly in front of Baldwin.
  9. You can find how to fix almost anything on YouTube. It is usually my first reference stop when I can’t figure something out.
  10. For hunting, Uncle mikes makes some decent, inexpensive chest rigs. Don't have a suggestions for wearing on the hip while working around the property.
  11. Welcome!
  12. I think half the guns I own are because of this statement.
  13. I would like to say yes but this damn cedar tree jumped right in front of my bullet. I have taken some does with a 10mm 1911. The 10mm does a great job on deer. None of my shots were over 60-65 yards and all the deer went less than 50 yards before pilling up.
  14. I had a Glock 40 MOS with a RMR. The 40 is basically the same gun but with a 6" barrel. I would shoot some pretty stout Underwood ammo hunting rounds thru it and the RMR had no problem handling the recoil. I preferred the RMR over irons sights for hunting. Made for quick shooting when I was stalking through thickets.
  15. Marlin has a pdf of all the dates. It is a little bit of a pain to scroll thru and find but they are out there. I will look for it in the morning if somebody else does not post it.
  16. Send a pm to any admin with the info and they will take care of it.
  17. 1903 should be a .32.
  18. The 100 yards from a dwelling in hunting only applies to public land. If you are on private property it does not apply.
  19. Henry lever .22s are a blast to shoot. You got a good lever to start with.
  20. So sorry for your loss. Will keep you in our prayers.
  21. The old Crescent Arms shotguns. I still have my grandfathers single shot 16ga Crescent Arms shotgun. They were great utilitarian guns. as for O/Us I agree with what a lot have recommended. The Beretta 686/687 are great guns. You can find them reasonable on the used market if you look around.
  22. Don’t forget the pinto and kidney beans.
  23. Now you have crossed a line....
  24. If you are going to hunt with it go with a .45-70. If it is mainly for plinking and action shooting then a .357 or .44 is hard to beat. I love my Marlin 336 in .44mag.
