  1. Let us know if you find out why he was arrested.
  2. You can check on TWRAs website for regulations on posting property. I think the sign you posted above in overkill. All you need is the generic no hunting/trespassing sign with your name on them. They have to be posted every x number of yards. I know of several landowners that if they catch somebody illegally hunting on their property they take their picture, politely ask them to leave and let them know if they are caught on their property again they will turn them over to the police.
  3. That sounds really good. My sister in law makes a similar recipe except she uses blue cheese instead of ranch. i think the ranch would better. Will have to try out soon. Thanks.
  4. Bkelm, As you can tell by my name, I am a fan of Kahrs. I started with the P9, then moved to the PM9 and now carry the P45. All have been very reliable and accurate. They are very slim, easy to carry and fit my hand great. I have fondled the PM45 and like it as well. The Rabbi finally talked me into getting a SW 638. It is a great little carry gun. I switch up between that and the P45. The J Frame is actually more comfortable to carry than the P45 when I use a IWB. Although I like the 45acp for self defense, i do not feel underpowered when I carry the 38 with +p ammo.
  5. Surely you don't mean the movie Airplane...Why yes I do, and don't call me Shirley. I guess i picked a bad day to quit sniffing glue...
  6. If you like to camp, check out Cheatham WMA. http://www.state.tn.us/twra/wildlife.html You can download a pdf of the rules and regs book that info on Cheatham WMA. There are a few other wma's in middle tn. The rukes and regs book has a map that shows you were they all are. Hope this helps.
  7. No Bling, Go to Eastside Gun Shop in Nashville and ask for "The Rabbi" He can take care of that for you....
  8. Congrats! Kahrs are great guns!!!
  9. Hey tungsten, my cousin did that once. He was tired of his car getting broken into. He had a couple of guns stolen. He took an old revolver and plugged the barrel and left it in his car. After that revolver got stolen, his car wasn't broken into anymore. Not exactly what I would have done, but it seemed to be effective.
  10. The Hasslers are good people. Brian is the main guy with his dad, Jerry and brother mike. I have bought a lot of guns from them. Brian is fun to deal with. He is a tough negociater. As long as you know your prices, good deals can be had. It is a good place to spend your lunch hour looking at all the guns and watching all the deals being made.
  11. The Kahr PM9 is a great carry gun. I started with the P9 then went to the PM9 and now carry a P45. It was reliable and accurate at self defense ranges. It was a great pocket gun. I carried it in my pocket when wearing loose fitting pants like dockers or dress slacks and in a iwb when wearing jeans. The only reason I got rid of mine was to fund the P45 purchase. :)

  13. I agree with Rabbi. Save up a few more dollars and get either a Ruger Mk II or III. I have one of each and they are great guns. IMHO No matter what you get, you and your kids will have a lot of fun with a .22 pistol.

    Do you .22?

I have 2 .22 pistols: Ruger MKII with a Tactical Solutions barrel and a supressor and a Ruger MkIII and 3 rifles: Marlin Mod 60, TC R-55 All Weather and a Henry Lever Action. You can never have to many .22's:D
  17. Where is the best place to find a non-collapsable leather IWB holster for a SW 638? It would be really nice to be able to reholster without undoing my pants. Thanks.
  18. http://boydsgunstocks.com/BrowseEbus/SSall.asp Boyds has a lot of neat stocks for the 10/22 if you really want to make it exotic looking.

  20. Well said bluecanary25!
  21. Here is a link to a website called marylandwhitetail.com http://www.marylandwhitetail.com/ The main pic is of a really pretty hunter by the name of Cody Jones. It took me a minute to realize she is standing over her state record 615lb black bear she killed a couple of weeks ago. If you click on the pic it takes you to a forum thread about the bear. The top entry on page three is from cody and has another pic of her and the bear. Click on the thumbnail pic to get a larger version. This pic truly shows how big this black bear is. About half way down the main page is a 4 min video of a 7 or 8 year old getting a nice buck on a juvenile hunt. He and his dad are so excited. Great video. A little further down on the left is a pic of Ben Wells and his 208" buck. (well at least of the antlers) It is a main framed 6x6 with 14 total points. Click on the pic and you go to a forum thread with a couple of more pics of the antlers. Maryland is putting out some tremendous animals this year. Enjoy. Bill, Jr aka KahrMan
  22. Can't add much new info, but I will give you my experience with Buford. Buford is a blowhard and like to talk about himself but I thought it was a good class and worth the time. And yes he did raise his eyebrows when he checked my firearm, Kahr P9, at the range. Gave that only a dumbass wouldn't carry a sp101 look but didn't say anything except to make sure to practice with it. There's my .02 FWIW.
  23. My daughter and I went out yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours in the drizzle. We didn't see any deer but had a great time anyway.
