  1. Awesome pics and video. Thanks!!
  2. I learned two things: First, really slap that reload in. On my first reload I shoved the mag in and started to fire. The first round went bang, it was already in the pipe when i reloaded but after that the gun wouldnt fire. The mag wasn't fully seated. After I banged it on the bottom and racked the slide all was well. Second, The gun works a lot better if you take the safety off. I open a door and try to engage the bg and the gun wouldn't work. Took me a second to figure out to take it off safety. I was shooting my Kimber 1911 and didn't have any malfunctions except what I caused. Was really a good learning experience.
  3. Is it politically incorrect to tell "The Rabbi" to F*** off...
  4. Thanks to Rabbi for setting up the shoot. It was a lot of fun. I am the one in the middle with the red and blue shirt
  5. Sent you a pm
  6. Who can tell me the difference between internal and external extractors. I have heard people say one is better than the other but don't know why. Also does anybody have pics of two guns, one with an external extractor and one with an internal extractor. Thanks
  7. I have a four color beard: blonde, brown, red and gray.
  8. Hey Marswolf, Did you have paint on your face or can you not grow a one color beard?

    Subcompact 9MM

I will have to vote for the Kahr pm9. It is a great gun and the slim handle fits my hands better than a glock.
  10. I usually try to stay very civil on forums but you are a f***ing idiot if you really believe that. Mods, if you feel I am out of line, please feel free to delete my post.
  11. Here is what Blue Book of Gun Values says: 100%/$400 98/$300 95/$245 90/$220 80/$195 70/$175 60/$165 For some reason, S&W revolvers almost always sells higher than the blue book price. Hope this helps.
  12. Don't tap my foot but I do have a wide stance...
  13. I will stop by tomorrow. Thanks.
  14. Todd, Thats why I switched from my P45 to a J-frame. The shape of the j-frame is more comfortable when carrying. IMO I think the grip on the j-frame is also easier to grab and draw.

    .50 cal Glock 21

Just kidding. Thats really cool. I might actually buy a Glock. I like anything that leaves big holes.

    .50 cal Glock 21

Thats gonna be one big KA-BOOM!
  17. All guns are fun to shoot. The "ouch" just determines how often I shoot them.
  18. My daughter and I went out and did a little plinking this weekend. Mostly we were shooting .22s. We did shoot my 329 a little. This is the scandium alloy frame 44mag. Very light weight. It was great to shoot with .44 specials. The recoil was very manageable. My 14 yo daughter and I had no problem getting 3" groups offhand at 25 feet. We then tried some .44 mag rounds. WOW. Talk about a hand cannon. The recoil was impressive. I felt it most in the web of my hand and wrist. The muzzle flip was quite intense and it put a lot of torque on the wrist. My daughter wanted to try one of the 44 mag rounds. Although she was a little scared she really wanted to shoot it. She didn't hit the target, I think here eyes were closed, but she did hold onto the gun. I was impressed. I was standing behind her just in case the pistol came flying back over here head. One shot was enough for her. All in all, we had a great time and threw a lot of lead down range.
  19. My 14yo daughter and I went out yesterday afternoon to do a little plinking. I took my M77 African in .375 Ruger because I have not shot it yet. I wasn't shooting for groups just to see what the recoil would be like. All I can say is Ouch! Why they would put a thin hard rubber recoil pad on a caliber that size is beyond me. I am going to have to find a better recoil pad for it. Maybe a Sims or something similar. Still, it was fun to shoot.
  20. They do have a great selection. It is a great place to hang out and browse. You can usually negotiate a fair price. You just have to know what a fair price is before you go in there.
  21. Thanks Tungsten. I just looked that up and that is exactly was I looking for. Thanks.
  22. How do you carry extra ammo? I carry a J-frame and currently do not carry any extra ammo. Speed loaders are to bulky to keep in my pockets and I do not want to carry loose ammo. Has anybody come up with a good way to carry extra ammo?
  23. TnDixieGirl, are you carrying when you snow or water ski? If you answer water skiing, then i am guessing ankle holster?
  24. Like most office buildings, all the suites in my building use a common restroom. The stall walls dont go all the way to the floor. So for major transactions I have to unclip my IWB and put it on top of the toilet paper holder. I have not forgotten it, at least not yet.
  25. Usually IWB strong side. If not there, its in the drink holder right by my right knee.
