  2. I absolutely love the Hello Kitty on the stocks...
  3. They make two rifles. The MR-17 in 17HMR and the MR-22 in 22WMR. I had the MR-17. At the time, there were only a couple of semi auto 17hmr's on the market. I though this one looked cool so I bought it. When you hold this rifle it is obvious that these people know cnc machining. Very solid and well built little gun. It was a fun little gun to shoot. I had quite a few FTE with mine. A couple per magazine. When it shot well, it was a lot fun. When it didn't, it was a pain in the ass. After a couple of weeks I saw something else shiny that i had to have and traded the mr-17 in on it. I am sure the FTE problem could have been solved. I am distracted very easily and just moved on to something else. When it ran good, it was a fun little plinker. http://www.excelarms.com/acceleratorrifle.html
  4. I bought this AR from another TGO member. It is in 204 Ruger and a blast to shoot. It is built on a Sabre Defense lower with a RRA 2-stage trigger, Hogue rubber grip, Magpul PRS adjustable stock and a Burris 3x-9x Fullfield tactical II scope in olive drab. The barrel is a 26" bull barrel from White Oak Arms. I took my Outers varmiter rifle rest to shoot it from. All I had was a 30rd mag. The mag would hit the cross bar so I had to lay the rifle in the rest at almost a 45 degree angle. Instead of cross hairs I had a x when I looked thru the scope. I first shot it a 50 yards to check the scope. Shot 2 five shot groups measuring .37" and .45". I was tickled pink. Moved the target back to 100 yards and shot 2 more 5 shot groups. Both averages right at 1.25". I am sure that when I get a solid rest I can get that group size under an inch. This gun is a lot of fun shoot. Hardly any recoil. Will post another range report when I have time to take it back out and really run some rounds thru it.
  5. Oh come on Angel, tell the truth. He turned you on a little, didn't he...
  6. Now those I like!
  7. The end must be near if Rabbi is going to carry an auto...
  8. The tide has turned... wood-2 rubber-9 The wood grips does make the overall appearance look a little odd but it is growing on me. The rubber grips does fit my hand better. I might have to try those t-grips. They look pretty cool.
  9. running total: wood-2 rubber-1 keep the opinions coming...
  10. I have been carrying my 638 with the original rubber grips. I picked up a set of wood grips from Rabbi. It sure looks "thinner" with the wood grips. So which way do yall like it...rubber or wood?
  11. wow...not sure what to say...that is kinda crazy
  12. Back in college I was at the Library and had to take care of business so to speak. So I go into the bathroom and sit down. I am sitting there and start wondering what the little box on the wall is for. I opened the box and realized what I had done. About that time two women came in and took the other stalls. After they left I about sprinted out of there. Luckily, no one saw me leave the womens restroom. That would been a tough call to my wife. Honey, can you come bail me out. I got arrested for hanging out in the womens bathroom....
  13. Haven't been to the other two but you can't go wrong with Fall Creek Falls. Great camping, hiking and photography opportunities. There is also some great fishing there.
  14. Yea, scrap em both and get a Ruger
  15. Ruger Mark II or III
  16. If that is happening, he is not playing the game right.
  17. Have you already been fingerprinted? If not, you can get your fingerprint cards and drop off the form at his office in the same trip to the CJC. When I did mine it probably took 20-30 mins total from walking in to getting fingerprinted and dropping off the forms.
  18. You Win! :D
  19. Have had similar experience with Ruger customer service. I over tightened a screw and cracked my grips on my Super Blackhawk Hunter. I called and asked to buy new grips after I told them what I did. They sent me a new pair of grips free. A+
  20. Now-a-days that means he was only carrying a couple of rounds...
  21. I talked to Frank about the raffle after all this went down and he is not conducting it anymore. The raffle is being conducted in North Carolina or Virginia, I forget which state the rifle is in. Seems in Tennessee only non-profits can conduct raffles or some technicality like that. I enjoyed speaking with Frank. Seems like a first rate guy.
