  1. You may very well be correct. I just can't get past the fact that I am more angry at the abuse that happened than the way the police handled it. I understand thats what the police are counting on and that pisses me off also.
  2. Fair enough. Normally I want the government to stay out of people business. This topic just really gets my blood boiling. The police know that this is a very emotional topic and probably use the fact that most people will look the other way if they step over the line.
  3. Thats not exactly true. I don't think any of the kids would have been taken had they not found dozens of underage pregnant girls.
  4. When they got there they found dozens of underage girls pregnant and dozens and dozens of other underage girls "married". Now I agree that the mentality of "its for the children" gets used way to much. But in this case were you have a compound with dozens and dozens of sexually abused girls, "men"(pedophiles) married to underage girls and nobody talking, I do not think they over reacted. You have sexual abuse happening on a grand scale at this compound. I have no problem with taking all the kids, investigating what happened then reuniting the ones that were not abused with their parents. But don't forget, even the adults that did not abuse any kids had to have known that it was going on. Condoning sexual abuse is almost just as bad as allowing it to happen.
  5. Jason, why do you think the tx sect's rights were violated? Police have a duty to investigate claims of child sexual abuse. Unless the anonymous tip was made by the police to themselves, whats the problem with that case.
  6. Don't sugarcoat it Urse. Tell us what you really think.
  7. I know several guys that have gotten permission that way. Deer do a lot of damage to landscaping. Usually they get permission to hunt with a bow but you never know unless you ask.
  8. The 100 yards is from where you shoot. Unless you fall within a city limit, like Brentwood or Franklin, you should be fine. There are some absolutely huge deer in suburban williamson and davidson county.
  9. Nice job. Check out Boyd's. They don't have an adjustable stock but they do have some really fancy and cool stocks for the 10/22 http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/default.htm
  10. Sweet Bike! I love beemers. Be safe. TGO member nsnate is still recovering from some idiot in a suv trying to run him over. Of course you will be hard to miss on that yellow bike...
  11. Love the naked slide. Congrats!
  12. You are fine. Have fun shooting with your kids. BTW, I like your avatar. For those about to rock was one of the first concerts I went to. Dad took my sister, 9th grade, me, 6th grade, and my brother, 2nd grade, down to the Municipal Auditorium to see that concert.
  13. The P6 is a good gun. I bought one from Rabbi. They are German Police turn-ins. I believe Goodletsville Gun Shop has some in stock. You might want to check with them before you order one.
  14. I have shipped several long guns through the USPS. They ran between $20-$30 IIRC. You can not ship handguns through the USPS. HAve to go with FedEx or UPS.
  15. Could also be On Target. Even though I am in Nashville, I drive to Murfreesboro because I do not like Gun City.
  16. Voted - 61% no 39%yes
  17. I absolutely love the Hello Kitty on the stocks...
  18. They make two rifles. The MR-17 in 17HMR and the MR-22 in 22WMR. I had the MR-17. At the time, there were only a couple of semi auto 17hmr's on the market. I though this one looked cool so I bought it. When you hold this rifle it is obvious that these people know cnc machining. Very solid and well built little gun. It was a fun little gun to shoot. I had quite a few FTE with mine. A couple per magazine. When it shot well, it was a lot fun. When it didn't, it was a pain in the ass. After a couple of weeks I saw something else shiny that i had to have and traded the mr-17 in on it. I am sure the FTE problem could have been solved. I am distracted very easily and just moved on to something else. When it ran good, it was a fun little plinker. http://www.excelarms.com/acceleratorrifle.html
  19. I bought this AR from another TGO member. It is in 204 Ruger and a blast to shoot. It is built on a Sabre Defense lower with a RRA 2-stage trigger, Hogue rubber grip, Magpul PRS adjustable stock and a Burris 3x-9x Fullfield tactical II scope in olive drab. The barrel is a 26" bull barrel from White Oak Arms. I took my Outers varmiter rifle rest to shoot it from. All I had was a 30rd mag. The mag would hit the cross bar so I had to lay the rifle in the rest at almost a 45 degree angle. Instead of cross hairs I had a x when I looked thru the scope. I first shot it a 50 yards to check the scope. Shot 2 five shot groups measuring .37" and .45". I was tickled pink. Moved the target back to 100 yards and shot 2 more 5 shot groups. Both averages right at 1.25". I am sure that when I get a solid rest I can get that group size under an inch. This gun is a lot of fun shoot. Hardly any recoil. Will post another range report when I have time to take it back out and really run some rounds thru it.
  20. Oh come on Angel, tell the truth. He turned you on a little, didn't he...
  21. Now those I like!
  22. The end must be near if Rabbi is going to carry an auto...
  23. The tide has turned... wood-2 rubber-9 The wood grips does make the overall appearance look a little odd but it is growing on me. The rubber grips does fit my hand better. I might have to try those t-grips. They look pretty cool.
