    Old Shep

That is funny. I can just imagine the people that try to stop him.

    My new 642

    Nice. I love my 638.
  3. I used P.C. Taxidermy. I have mixed feelings about recommending them. The guy that owns it is Eric Mattar. He is a super nice guy and does great work. The problem is that he, in my opinion, doesn't run his business very good. It took me 2 years to get my bobcat. The problem is he is in demand and doesn't say no to new business walking in the door. When I went to him he was a one man shop. If he has added some employees, turnaround might not be an issue now. as of 2 years ago: Eric Mattar P.C. 4. Here he is mounted...
  5. Thanks. I have it mounted laying on a branch. I will try to get a pic of it tonight and post it. He was decent size for this part of the country. He was 29lbs and 33" inches from his nose to his butt.
  6. Here are a couple...
  7. Back when I worked at Tractor Supply Company, I can't tell you how many farmers would come in and buy a bag of dog food and a gallon of anti-freeze.
  8. If your friend still has it put some pics of it up. Would be cool to see it. Love the big bore double rifles.
  9. Talk about adding insult to injury...

    Cougar

Naw, I jumped out of a tree and showed him a picture of Chuck Norris and he died of fright. I was deer hunting at the time so I shot him with a .30-06 Little bit of overkill but that is all I had with me.
  11. Very cool. I have an AR-50. They are a blast to shoot.

    Cougar

Yes. A bobcats "scream" is a little higher pitched than a cougar but is very similar. It is usually compared to a babies scream instead of an adults. As much as cougars move around, it wouldn't surprise me if it was one. By the time this bobcat saw me, he didn't have time to scream.
  13. I am ready to go. Looks like it is going to be a nice morning, mid to upper thirties in my part of Tn. I need some fresh meat for the freezer so unless it is just a monster I am hoping for a nice fat doe.
  14. Did you know that Rosie went to Central University of Northern Texas....
  15. BLASPHEMY!!! May the fleas of 1000 camels infest your armpits!
  16. You can hunt in Davidson county. There are some big deer taken every year in Davidson. You just have to follow the twra rules. The biggest one is that you have to be 100 yards aways from a residence(not your own) to shoot a firearm.
  17. Damnit, I need to win the lottery between now and that auction!
  18. I saw a for sale item that got me thinking about this. My AR-50 kicks less than a 270. My 300 weatherby mag and 375 ruger both have a pretty good thump. But the most painful thing I have shot was a turkery barrel for my T/C Encore. I took it out one day to sight it in and put it up for sale the next day. I am a big guy and not very sensitive to recoil but this thing knocked the snot out of me. I fired a total of 9 turkey load that day and never fired it again. The sob actually drew blood:dropjaw:. So, what was your most unpleasant firearm to shoot?
  19. In 40 the PPS is thinner (.91" vs .94") but the Kahr is thinner in 9mm (.90" vs .91"). The PPS feels pretty good in the hand but the Kahr feels more solid, at least to me.
  20. I hate hearing stories like this. I would venture a guess that most of the people on this board were raised with corporal punishment. Dad would use ping pong paddles to spank us. The worst part was he would make us go to the basement and pick out the paddle. Ya know, I hate ping pong to this day...
  21. Just wondering but what authority does the CG have to board ships outside of US waters?
  22. Thanks for the answers.
  23. Congrats on a great deer.:up::up:
  24. Thin semi-auto? Check out my name...
