  1. I hope you can get it back into shooting shape. I hate to see a firearm go to the graveyard. Btw, It was very nice meeting you yesterday.
  2. If I am not mistaken, Jim Shockey's Gold is the same formula as 777 just sold under his name. I shoot 777 and my cousin shoots Jim Shokey's. Both are great powders and shoot pretty clean. The only problem I have had with 777 is leaving my encore loaded between ml seasons, about a month. After shooting it, there was definitely some residue left on the barrel where the 777 pellets sat. It took quite a bit of elbow grease to remove it. When normally shooting 777, it is a breeze to clean up. Congrats on the Pro Hunter.
  3. Welcome Aaron. I am just up the road from you in Bellevue. My wife and I used to live in Fort Worth. I do a lot of hunting in the fairview area. Welcome to TGO.
  4. Hey man, ya snooze ya loose...
  5. Sold for the incredibly high price of $0.00.
  6. A friend gave me this instead of throwing it in the trash. It is an Italian made black powder pistol in .36 cal. It is missing parts and the frame is pitted. I thought I might try to get it back into shooting shape but have to many other projects going. Since it was given to me, I am going to offer it free to the first person who tells me they want it. No shipping and have to meet me somewhere in Nashville. Anybody want it?

  8. That's what she said... Seriously, nice lever action. Congrats.
  9. Got one for myself and my daughter. It would be awesome is she got drawn.
  10. Dude, you really suck!!! That is a gorgeous gun... Make sure you give us a range report after you shoot it. CONGRATS!!
  11. Red Labels are well made, quality o/u's. The only con I hear about them is their weight. As long as it swings good, it would be a great gun to start shooting skeet with. I would not use it for trap with fixed skeet chokes. I f you want one gun for both skeet and trap then sell the Red Label and get an o/u with removable chokes.
  12. Hey Vince, anybody ever told you that you suck!

    Ruger .22 Mark II

Gator, You made the classic rookie mistake...you disassembled it They are definitely a pain in the ass to reassemble. I hardly ever break my down anymore. I shoot a little gun scrubber down in the action to get any crud out and then spray it with a little clp and put her up. Unless you are having problems, there really is no need to break it down to clean it. They are great guns. Have fun with yours.
  14. Great video. Pretty impressive shooting at 25 yards. When it comes in, we need to go shooting. We can compare the R9 and PM9 side by side.
  15. oooooooohhhh!!! That's purdy!!! Very nice looking pistol.
  16. Here is one that I have been using for a while. It technically is a duck marinade but I use it on venison, specifically venison medallions. 2 cups dry red wine 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup balsamic or red wine vinegar 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 medium onion, diced 6 garlic cloves, minced 1 tablespoon cracked black pepper Combine all the ingredients and marinade for a couple of hours to overnight. Yummy!!
  17. It says that I have an unread private message but I do not. Is there a way to fix my notification system so that it is correct. Not a big deal. Whenever anybody has time to help I would appreciate it. Thanks BIll, Jr
  18. You aren't kidding. Those Black Cherry Magic grips are sexy. They would look good on my Kimber.
  19. I am confused. How are you getting gunk in the action. Everything should be sealed off from the action. HAve you checked your breech plug to see if there is any damage to the threads? You shouldn't have any blowback on a muzzleloader. The 209 primer should seal off the nipple and the breech plug should seal everything else off. So if you are getting gunk back in the action, I would guess that it is coming from one of those two places. Anybody else have any thoughts? PS - Not sure if the my Encore breech plug will fit in your ml, but you are welcome to borrow it to see if that makes any difference.
  20. Those Ap would be fun to play with. I wonder how thick of steel they would go through. Do some testing and let us know.
  21. Nice looking rifle. I always loved the Mdl 100. Since this is a hunting rifle and not a target rifle, 2 boxes of ammo would last you for years. Bite the bullet, buy two boxes and be done with it. If you plan on shooting it from a bench, then what Froggy said.

    Pandora

Pandora is great. I use it at work all the time.
  23. Yes...thats weird
  24. At one time I had a "specialized" turkey gun that was only used for turkey hunting. I decided that that money could be better used is a gun that saw more action than a couple of times a year. I now use my all purpose 20ga Benelli M2. Now I just just change chokes instead of guns depending on what I am hunting. How about the rest of you. Do you throw a full choke on your dove gun or what? Also what gauge do you use for turkey hunting?
