We still do not let Dad live down a screw up he had back in the late 80's. He could not get his Craftsman lawn tractor to start. He placed a service call and had a Sears tech come out to work on it. A few minutes after the tech got there he had it running. Dad asked what the problem was and the service guy said it was out of gas.

Worriedman is correct. The rifle is not illegal, it is just illegal to hunt deer with. There are several counties in Ohio and Iowa, and I am sure other place also, that only allow shotguns with slugs for hunting deer.

There is a difference in being scared and being prepared. I carry to be prepared not because I am scared. Bad things happen to good people so I am always prepared. If I was scared to be in a particular place, I just would not go there whether I was carrying or not.
