One of the coolest things I saw at the NWTF vendor show was the iScope booth. This adapter allows you to mount your iphone or other smartphone to your scope, spotting scope or binoculars. Download their app, .99Cents, and use your phones screen as your viewfinder. This makes it really easy to film your hunt or take pics. Since you phones camera is looking thru the scope you see the crosshairs on your screen and that is how you aim. Check out their site. If you like to fish off the rock walls and beach, here is a place to go. Harbor Blvd is the main drag thru Destin. Turn onto Gulf Shore Drive and drive to the end and you will find a little parking lot. You have to walk across a sand dune to get to the rock wall. Use a cast net to catch some bait and have fun.

I oversee healthcare for my company.  We just renewed our policy two weeks ago.  We are a fairly health company so our increase was not to bad.     We offer two plans:  PPO and High Deductible w/ a HSA(Health Savings Account)  To add a spouse to our plan it costs 322 for the PPO and 293 for the HD.  Like others have said, a lot of things effect the monthly price.  Co-pays, deductibles, total out of pocket, prescription benefits etc.   It is not right for everybody, but a High Deductible Health Plan is worth looking into.  Generally the total out of pocket is less.  This is because they expect you to be more frugal with healthcare because you pay 100% of the cost till you hit your out of pocket.  There are no co pays.  The advantage to this is you get to have a HSA.  HSA's are funded with pre-tax dollars, like a 401K.  By funding it with pre tax dollars, it does two things. 1) it reduces the taxes you pay.  ex. you make 1000 a paycheck.  You put 200 into your hsa.  Your taxes taken out of you check are based on the 800. 2) Since you are paying for medical with pretax dollars, it is like getting a discount on your medical.  If you are in the 20% tax rate then in effect you are getting a 20% discount on your medical bills.  The money in your HSA can ONLY be used for medical expenses and it does roll over year to year.

That is really cool.  The possibilities are endless.

What were you using for bait?

I received a solar charger for iPhones for Christmas.  It is made to hang on the back of a backpack so it charges while you are hiking.  It also has a battery pack that charges up so you can have power at night or extended bad weather.  I will take a pic of it and post it this weekend.

One odd advantage of using my cpap is I always know when the power goes off at night.  Went off a couple of times last night and each time I woke up because it became very hard to breathe.

I know you are not allowed to sell ammo you reload with out a license.  Are you allowed to trade it or is that considered the same thing?  The reason I am asking is because I have a flat of 12 ga skeet loads.  I used to shoot a lot of skeet so I reloaded my own ammo.  I do not shoot skeet any more.  This flat, 250 rounds, has been sitting in my garage for a couple of years.  Am I stuck with it or is there a legal way to move it.'   Thanks

This ^ is what I thought was the most important aspect of the whole story.

Canoes and choppy water can be a little sketchy.  Glad you guys made it back ok.   I still have the Coleman Scanoe that I grew up fishing in with my dad.  We would go down to Decatur, AL and fish the back waters of the Tennessee River.  Once day dad decided he wanted to fish the other side of the river.  We had a little 3.5 hp motor mounted so we scooted across to the other side with no problems.  While on that side, a thunderstorm blew up.  That had to be about 1980 and I still vividly remember crossing the main channel in the thunderstorm and real choppy water.

The one who shall not be named, Rabbi not Kwik, told me about this site in 2007.  Been here ever since.

I am not a very adventurous beer drinker. I usually stick to a couple of domestics that I know that I like. Heard about this beer the other day and found it yesterday. You have to get it liquor stores because it is higher a content beer. It is a nice beer with a hint of bourbon and a nice smokey oak flavor. I really like it.
