  1. I stopped in a couple of weeks ago.  They had a decent selection.  The prices were average.  Didn't find any steals but I didn't see anything really high either.   Guys were helpful and pleasant.  It was an ok shop but nothing real exciting.
  2. ATF shut them down for shoddy record keeping according to Game Fair
  3. Quick and easy. I use a grill pan, a little butter and this sauce: It is a sweet ginger chili sauce. Very tasty. http://gingerpeople.com/ginger-cooking-sauces/sweet-ginger-chili.html
  4.   I really hate the ones that say they will buy something, will be at a certain place all day and you show up and they are not there.   :pleased:  :taunt:
  5.   Dude, we are talking about wether Taylor is bangable or not and you bring cancer into the conversation? Really?  :squint:  :shake:  :waiting:
  6. This is my standard go to…for both guys and girls  The reactions can be pretty funny.

  8. Turns out the nut in the grips had broken free and was turning with the screw.  I used a razor blade and peeled away some of the grip so I could grab the nut with some vice grips.  Doesn't look great but I can at least get the grips on and off now.
  9. We are losing another lgs.  From D&T Arms Facebook page:
  10. Thanks Monkey.     Does it work for ticks and chiggers or just flying bugs?
  11. Has anybody used one of these?  Just wondering if it works as well as described.
  12. I need to check to see if only the screw is turning.  If it is, then I will try your other suggestions.  Thanks Hozzie.
  13. The end of the screw turns when I turn the head.  I tried sticking a long screwdriver in the grip and prying upward when I turned screw with no luck.
  14. I am cleaning up a friends old S&W 586. I has a set of Pachymar grips on it. I turn the screw and it will not back out. Am I missing something or is the screw stripped? Any suggestions on how to remove the grips? 15. When worked at Dominoes one of the most popular pizzas we called the bitch.  PMS=pepperoni mushroom sausage
  16. Love to play golf just don't have time to play often.
  17. Well, new to me. Last year I picked up a Browning BAR in .30-06. As much as I tried to like it, it just never felt right to me. It was a great and accurate gun but I am more of a bolt or lever action guy. So I came across a guy selling a 1978 Belgian made Browning BBR in .270. You do not see the BBRs for sale to often. The BBR is kinda the predecessor to the A-bolt. It has a fat bolt and is built very solid. I put a Leupold VX3 3-9x50 on it and took it out to sight it in yesterday. I must have done a poor job bore sighting it because the first shot was off paper. Took a few more shots to get it dialed in. I was happy with my first three shot group. I think this is going to make a great deer rifle. 18. I must have missed that.  What are those?
  19. Those Excalibur crossbows look really nice and have great reviews.  I will check them out.  Thanks
  20. I am going to be buying a bow this season.  I have not had a bow for a couple of years and am ready to start bow hunting again.  In the past I have always shot a compound bow.  Right now I am leaning towards a crossbow.     I hunt almost exclusively from the ground.  Weight, bad knees and ankles make it hard and dangerous to hunt from a stand.  I also like the fact there is less movement with a crossbow versus a compound.     Any thoughts on compounds vs. crossbows?  Also, if you shoot a crossbow, what brand are you shooting?
  21.  I was really hoping it was not going to be some granny rears.
  22. I have read some good things about the CT line.  Glad to hear a first hand report on it.
  23.   I disagree.  Part of hunting is conservation and population control.  That is why here in middle TN you can take over 300 does a season.  They are over populated.  It is not good for the deer herd and they cause lots of problems.  It is the same with hogs in Texas.  They are over populated and do a tremendous amount of damage to the land.  I see nothing wrong with hunting like this to help control the population.  A lands carrying capacity for a healthy population of a species is real issue with some animals.  Most of the real hunters I know, like myself, could do that.
