We got a Seek for the iPhone when it first came out.  It works pretty good in the house at spotting drafts and leaks.  It is fun to play around with.  The only limitation was it could not sense heat at longer distances outside.  The new version is supposed to be able to work at longer distances.  It makes walking around in the dark a lot of fun.  Get to see what kind of critters are out there you can not see.

From what I have read if will work but you lose some accuracy because the bullet has to jump to the rifling. The shoulder angles are different and the oal is a little difference. I might try that just don't want to do anything to screw it up.

Correct. It is a 22 hornet necked down to 17. Ackley created it in the early to mid fifties. Supposedly the best combo of speed and stability of any 17 of the time. Cooper still makes an action chamber in it.
