  1. That's why I waited till my kids were in college to get my new truck. Lol
  2. I just got a F150.  There is a lot of room in the back seat.  With the seats folded up, you could fit a lot of dogs back there.
  3. Do you need to be a member before coming to the 3/14 meeting or can you sign up there?
  4. I have bought several guns from these guys in the past.  Good deals can be had but not usually on common models.   I like dealing with this company.  A lot of good people work there.  Also it gives me an excuse to run up to Cookeville and see my kids at TTU.
  5.   I have not used Underwood for hunting yet.  Hornady Leverevolution is a great round for 30-30's.
  6. The 45-70 is a great deer gun for hunting in thickets in dense wooded areas.  The slow heavy bullets do not deflect off small limbs as much as faster, lighter bullets do.     Where I think this round will really shine is hogs.  They have have a much tougher hide and this should punch right through it.
  7. I have always shot Hornady Leverevolution ammo for hunting purposes. It is a great round. At the muzzle velocity is 2050 with energy being 3032 ft-lbs. It is a great deer round. Underwood just introduced their Xtreme Penetrator +P in 45-70. Velocity at the muzzle is 2350 and energy is 3740 ft-lbs. It is a beast of a round. Looks pretty mean also. It is a little more expensive but I think I will order some and try it out. https://www.underwoodammo.com/45-70-government-p-305-grain-xtreme-penetrator-box-of-20/
  8. I can walk down the hill and give y'all moral support. I'll even bring beer.
  9. Like many of you have mentioned if I start making changes I probably won't stop.  I really do not need another money sucking hobby.     Since this is just going to be a daily driver I do not want to lower the mpg or recalibrate anything.  I think I will just leave it the way it is.   I appreciate all the responses and advice.
  10.     I think that is the way I am leaning.   I will just use the money I would have spent on the truck and buy more bourbon and guns.
  11.     For $2600 I think it is fine just the way it is...
  12. I bought a new F150 a couple of months ago. I absolutely love my truck. What I can not decide is if the tires need to be bigger. It came with 20's. This is my daily driver and will probably never go off road. Would going with larger wheels and tires effect the way it rides and drives? What say you, larger or leave 'em alone.
  13. Actually, yes.  They seem a little stronger and feel like the coating is a little thicker.  I hung the same gun from both and the cheaper one sagged just a little bit more.  If you have a lot of large frame guns I would go with the more expensive ones otherwise the cheaper are just fine.
  14. Anybody going this week?  I will be at the vendor show on Saturday.
  15. I have bought from these guys and the shipping is very reasonable: http://www.ar500-targets.com/default.asp
  16.         The base membership is only 279.  The 450 membership can shoot on the weekends.
  17. Looks good. I had to get some different screws to mount my RMR on my G40. I found some that worked at the hardware store. After doing some more research, Trijicon sells a kit specifically for the MOSm system that comes with the correct screws and a gasket so the RMR seats properly to the mounting plate.
