2. I picked up a Kimber Mountain Ascent in 308. The Mountain Ascent is the lightest production bolt action big game rifle available today. It weighs 5lbs 5ozs. It is really light. It has a kevlar/carbon fiber stock. The barrel is luted. The bolt is spiral fluted with the bolt handle hollowed out to remove more weight. Have not shot it yet. I have to figure out what glass to put on it. I can't decide if I want a silver scope to match or a black scope for the contrast. Here are a couple of pics.
3. How have I not known about this...
4. I also agree. Being able to post pics straight from your phone was a huge benefit of tapatalk.
5. Anyway to change your avatar back to square or should we just resize it to fit into the circle?
6. I also had to reset my password but I have never changed my forum name.
7. I saw there banner ad yesterday and was glad to see they had signed up.
8. Current bid is up to $65,039,000. Looks like the site is getting trolled pretty hard.
9. If any of you are considering using willis for sharpening go for it.  I just received several knives that I had sent him and they are all razor sharp.  You will not be disappointed,
10. Just got mine. This thing is awesome. I love the damascus blade.
11. Good looking knife you got there.

I have had my eye on these ever since they came out.  I like the looks  but have not heard any first hand reports on them yet.
14. Browning made the BPR for 4 years as someone mentioned earlier.  I just recently sold one in .30-06.  It was a fine rifle.  They discontinued it because of lack luster sales.    A bolt action is going to be more accurate. a semi auto rifle will have less recoil so it was a hard road to hoe for the pump rifle.
15. Does anybody here collect these knives?  I have several that I am going to be selling.  I was just going to put these on eBay but thought I would see if anybody here would be interested.  I have 8 of the first set and one from part II.  These all look unused.     Let me know if you are interested and I can send you some pics.
16.   Not sure.  Not familiar with that round.
17. Yes. It will shoot both .38 and .357 mags.
18. Good luck and heal fast.
19. Here is a rifle you do not see everyday...A Ruger #3 Carbine in .30-40 Krag. This was another one of the guns I picked up in the estate sale. It also came with a letter from Ruger. This would make a great little deer gun. 20. Picked up several guns in an estate sale. There was a couple of oddballs in the bunch. Not really oddballs but guns you do not see very often. This is an early 50's Great Western Frontier single action in .357 Atomic. The .357 Atomic is basically a .357 mag +p. It uses the same case but is loaded a little hotter. For a brief time it was touted as the most powerful handgun cartridge. The .44 mag was created before atomic ammo went into production. In mid 1954 Great Western changed the roll mark to .357 magnum and that was the end of the .357 Atomic. 21. Nice.  Red eyes are a blast to catch on ultra light rigs.
