  1. The NCAA is trying to turn college football into the NFL. I'm about done with them. There is no incentive for these kids to learn sportsmanship or team loyalty any more.
  2. FYI, the Remington 11 and Savage 720 are the same as the Browning Auto-5. And are usually much less expensive. Friction rings and magazine extensions are interchangeable.
  3. I foresee lots of rifles that lose their zero every time it's folded. I'll pass.
  4. It seems that it would be worthwhile for someone to buy the assets of P80 and resurrect a new company in a better state (TN, hint, hint!). Let the new company kick out new product and distribute it as fast as possible until the Everytown idiots make it hot again. Go out of business having cost the idiots time and effort for nothing. Then, start the whole process over again! I'm no expert, but it seems that it would be a god plan.
  5. Yep. I get to Oak Ridge a couple of times a month.
  6. BTT. This stuff is getting really hard to find. It is now illegal to import the actual 7N6 as ATF classified it as Armor Piercing handgun cartridge in 2014 due to the steel core. (Yeah, I know - Handgun?!?! But when have facts and logic ever mattered to ATF?)
  7. About as much chance as a complete repeal of the NFA. Still, a useful tool for identifying RINOs unwilling to support it.
  8. M1 clip with M1909 blanks. The indented ring below the lip is a clear indication that it's a blank. The whole middle TN area was used for massive war games from 1942-44. https://www.williamsonherald.com/features/w_life/bringing-light-to-tennessee-s-forgotten-wwii-history-magill-introduces-maneuvers-docuseries/article_63e4be54-b081-11ee-8131-4b54b5dd558e.html
  9. Sinclair Z/99, cassette recorder for storage. It was a kit you had to solder it together yourself.

I'd like to see: 500m Service rifle - each country needs to use it's most common service rifle (ie: M4 for USA and AK-74 for Russia). Timed, 5 minutes with 60 rounds 50m Service Pistol - Same as above but pistols. Timed, 5 minutes with 50 rounds 500m Obstacle course with Service Rifle and full basic load, canteens, etc. 750m GPMG - Each country using it's issue General Purpose MG (M240, PKM, MG3, etc) Group and echelon targets at varying ranges. Timed, two minutes with 200 rounds. Biathlon - Combined above top three items!!!
  11. I found the second can. Both cans in original wood crate for $1200.
  12. I have a sealed can of Russian 7N6 5.45mm ammo (1080 rounds) that I found cleaning up the workshop. I picked up a few of these years ago at Knob Creek and shot off a bunch, but this can decided to hide for a bit. I'll do $650 within 50 miles of Mount Juliet (37122). Or, I'll ship for $30. If you have an account with Fedex or UPS and will send me a label, I'm willing to do that as well. The can is 30lbs, and is 14L x 6.5W x 4.5H. I also get over to Oak Ridge fairly regularly, so I could meet you nearby if you are in that part of TN. I think that there is another can in hiding as well. I could be wrong. But, if I find that one, I'll offer it to the buyer of this can first. As always, the first "I'll take it" wins.
  13. You would think that putting a couple of large concrete block in front and rear to prevent this would be a reasonable expense. Of course, a good camera system with off-site storage is critical as well! I feel for these small business owners who are being targeted!
  14. Yep, my choice for building a hugely expensive IT facility! Iffy power supply, huge crime problems, and a pretty good chance of a major earthquake destroying the whole area!
  15. NOT TRUE! They can ask to come see your records or specific firearms. You have the option of going to their office or having them come to your home. Go to their office!!! Also, if you have a C&R license, do not renew at the end of the three years. Let it expire and then re-apply. You'll only lose a couple of weeks of use of the license. But, it means that you can destroy your previous records. Rules for '01' FFLs do not necessarily apply to '03' C&R licensees.
  16. "God Bless our honored Dead".

  18. I had a succession of MGs, Triumphs, and a Porsche 914. Always parked on a hill as you never knew if the smoke had leaked out when you went to start them.
  19. While TN as a whole is solidly pro-2A, there are places in the state that are as liberal as DC and Chicago. These two represent two of those areas and are doing the normal election-year game of getting headlines to get them re-elected. Their constituents don't care that this won't go anywhere. It's more important to play it up for an obliging media in order to get votes.
  20. Pretty, good handling, and fun at the range! Since I don't know the young woman, I'm obviously referring to the Remington Nylon 66!
  21. Rifles costing 3 times as much as the M4/M16, and ammo costing 4 times as much as 5.56mm M855. And we're seeing ammo shortages now as woke military budgets get spent on climate and diversity. All to achieve better armor penetration and range. Basically, recreating performance of the .30-06 AP.
