My wife likes hers. Light, accurate, low recoil, and nice trigger. Magazines are a bit pricey, so if they are on sale, grab a few.
  2. Only singing ONE verse repeatedly is a pet peeve of mine. A beautiful song with more verses: Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming Here come the wise men from Orient land The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger In all our trials born to be our friend Truly He taught us to love one another His law is love and His gospel is peace Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother And in His name all oppression shall cease Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, Let all within us praise His holy name
  3. Logic has never meant anything to gun control fools. And this killer was a fool. Didn't have his pistol properly set up and had to manually cycle the gun after each shot. He probably watched too much internet fiction.
  4. At this point, it has no original finish anyway. If it was mine, I'd get it blued simply to help prevent further damage from rust. The original finish was most likely a dull matte blue unless it was a very early gun. Be careful to preserve the original markings.
  5. Still one of the sexiest songs:
  6. I would suppose that Franchi went with a steel receiver for the 3" guns for a reason. The AL48 is too nice of a shotgun to take a chance on causing an issue by using 3" loads.
  7. Paint your Wagon - From the movie of the same name

    22 LR

I can't even begin to count how many .22 rifles and pistols I've seen that look like they were never cleaned! The little Marlin model 60 is a fine rifle, but a bear to clean properly! I've scored some real bargains on .22s that looked like the bore was worn out, but were just leaded.
  9. While these coins are not 100% silver, a reference for daily selling price of comparable coins can be found here: https://www.usacoinbook.com/coins/half-dollars/franklin/ A knowledgeable friend grades these coins as Very Good to Very Fine based on PCGS grades. To get an idea of those grades, you can look here: https://www.pcgs.com/photograde/#/Franklin/Grades
  10. BTT, this is the real ammo made for your AK-74 rifles!
  11. Two lots of 20 US 1/2 dollar silver coins dated 1948 to 1963. Each lot of 20 coins ($10 face value) will be $290 plus $10 shipping USPS Priority Mail. Buy both lots and the shipping will still be $10 total. None of these are mint grade. All have clear markings front and rear and are good, honest, silver 1/2 dollar coins. 12. Mine is a 1st generation with Beretta mags. It's been reliable with Winchester white box 9mm. It likes to stay lubed. I use Ballistol for oil and small dabs of grease. The trigger pull is long, heavy, and atrocious. The bolt handle under the stock is awkward and hard to operate. The sights are almost a joke. For 50 yards, they're fine, though. You won't be trying to hit much longer than that, anyway. I do not have experience with the later versions, but have heard that they are better.
  13. True, but: Keep in mind that a lot of firearm operation is based on muscle memory gained through training and MANY repetitions. When you change your weapon, you need to also change that the way you operate. When I changed from a Star PD .45 to a Springfield XDs .45, the differences were minor, but crucial. The grip was slightly different, no thumb safety, very different trigger pull, magazine changes were slightly different, and many other more subtle differences. After the many years of operating standard iron sights, I have no desire to transition to a red dot. Add in my inbred distrust of electronic and optical devices that I have seen fail MANY times when you need them most, and I'll stick with 'old reliable' irons.
