  1. I still own an uncle mikes.
  2. Very funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGGkDitj8_U&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  3. Congrats, Springfields are great guns. I've owned two of there 1911 45's and both were exellent shooters. My brothers got the 5" XD in .45 also and he loves it.
  4. Ok, I like the look of the Crossbreed but how does the Kydex wear on the guns finish?
  5. I need advice on a good IWB holster for the Colt New Agent I just purchased. My normal method of carry is a skeleton belt slide holster with an untucked shirt. I've never carried IWB so I need reviews of the holsters others have used and why they use them. Every company says they have the best and most comfortable but I trust you guys more. As always, thanks in advance.

    Colt New Agent

Sell two to buy one? Does that sound sane to you? But it's a Colt New Agent. 45acp. Surely that's worth a Couger 9mm and a Springfield Micro GI? Well all I can say is WOW! Talk about a light 45. An 8 shot 1911 @ 22ozs. I love it. Can not wait to get it to the range.

    poly Judge

I've got the Bond Arms Snake Slayer which is also a 45/410. I love it as a compact 2 shot snake gun or anti-carjacking weapon. As far as the poly judge, I shot a friends and was well impressed. I just prefer the bond cause it's easier to conceal.
  8. I'm sorry but the term "useless" when used to describe a gun is about as foreign to my vocabulary as "unwanted" is when used to describe attention given by a pretty girl. I have firearms that do not serve a practical purpose (double barrel, sawed off shotgun) but by no means are they useless. Now on the other hand, I can post some photos of relatives that fit your description.
  9. My wife has the Bobcat .32acp and loves hers. I must say its a fun little gun.
  10. I sold one of mine to fund another gun too. I gave the other to my wife for the night stand when I work late. As far as revolvers go, I don't know that you can beat a Rossi for the price. I replace mine with a S&W bodyguard .38+P for carry but still love to get my wife's out and punch holes in paper every now and again.
  11. I've owned two Rossi .357's and both always went bang when you pulled the trigger. Not one problem in 6 years of ownership.
  12. Here you go Kevo, as shown with a 3x5" card for size comparison.

    Ankle Carry

Inside weak leg. Easier to conceal and can be drawn with either hand.
  14. Not to mention the Flash and Bang of a Snub Nose 357 will make even the meanest BG poop himself.
  15. Rossi hands down. I have owned two, one of which I still have, and both were excellent guns. I carried one for about 3 years and put over 1000 rounds through it without any issues. I even took my ccw with the Rossi snub nose and scored 100% shooting DA only. I also am not a fan of polymer guns. nothing wrong with them, I just don't like the way they feel. But my opinion based on the two would be Rossi 100%
  16. Now that would be a kick to shoot. And a huge suprise for the BG on the business end.
  17. Yeah, I am thinking I will. Just going to have to sell two guns to get it.
  18. thanks hornette. i am still debating the purchase.
  19. I agree. The Micro is a great looking gun and super small compared to most .380's. I'm not that worried about the trigger guard. The Micro for me is an "I can't possibly conceal anything bigger than this in what I'm wearing" gun. And for that purpose it works very well.
  20. Finally got to the range today to try out the new Micro Desert Eagle. Its a stout little gun with a bit of kick but not unmanageable. Ran 50 rounds of Winchester fmj without any issues at all. Put another 12 rounds of Remington Golden Saber 102gr jhp and again, not a single problem. Finished the set off with a box of 50 Federal fmj. So all in all, 100 rounds of fmj and 12 defense rounds with out so much as a hiccup. Did I mention it was balls on accurate too? Only problem was the trigger guard kept bumping my finger when the gun jumped. I think this is due to the thin grips and my big hands. I will see if I can find a better set of grips to fit my hand. But then again, its not a range gun, its a deep carry pistol. It fits in the front pocket of every pair of jeans and shorts I own. And after today I can expect it to be reliable if I need it. Nice little compact gun if I do say so myself.
  21. I had the P238 and loved it. I only sold it after getting a Kimber Solo. The Kimber is only a hair bigger than the Sig so I sold it and got a Micro Eagle which is way small. The Sig is a sweet gun and I like the holster.
  22. Hey Prag, I think I may need to see what I can find local. Knoxville is a bit far to travel for a class, but thanks for the info offer. Maybe some nice TGO'ers can suggest a private instructor who's local.
  23. Unfortunately since my arm is still injured, I cannot take the baton class at Joelton. Unless I can find a private instructor I'm SOL. Its funny, the reason I wish to carry a baton is I am not able to use both arms to defend myself and it is that inability to use both arms that prevents my from getting baton certified. Lol
  24. I adhere to the same rule. Unfortunatly the Bad Guys don't and thats why the only place I've ener been mugged and had a gun pointed at me was in Dragon park one block from Vanderbuilt University. As the cop who took my report said "criminals tend to rob people who have money and folks around Vandy tend to have money".
  25. Glock 17, 23, 34, its all so confusing. But I am happy you like the gun.
