  1. 400 rounds of 230 Grain Remington Golden Saber through her, observations: This is the only 1911 I have owned that does not like CMC Power Mags, 2 CMC power mags, 2 failures (stove pipes) Wilson Combat 47D, absolutely Flawless Baer Mags, all 3 included, all flawless I have always liked the Wilson 47D mags but my other Les Baer pistols did not, they run like a Swiss watch in this SRP so I will be buying some more I have about 8 to 10 CMC power mags that I will be parting with I also ran 40 rounds (5 Magazines) of 230 Grain Hornady TAP FPD and this is the ONLY 1911 that I have owned that would feed that stuff reliably, tried it in my Browns, Nighthawk, Wilson Combat and the 3 Thunder Ranch special Les Baer pistols and all of them choked on this ammo, I absolutely love this pistol and trust it to carry now
  2. No Fred, He is a buddy of mine from a long time ago on one of the 1911 forums, Crazy John is a good guy as well
  3. Same guy is offering to sell me a Commanche SRP set up just like this one, guy ordered 4 Baer's, 2 Commanche SRP and 2 Government SRP models, sent them to John Harrison for sight work, he carries two and had mine and the Commanche as back ups left new in the box. I am so impressed with my new SRP that I may have to do this I am very tempted to do the deal, but my wife may kill me if I do!
  4. Will do when I get more ammo, Just shot 50 rounds of Remington 230 grain Golden Sabre, honestly I think I will cancel my order for the Springfield pro pistols I have in, this pistol is that good where I think the PC9111 will disappoint me and not be worth the added waiting time This pistol is set up exactly how I want it, I was unsure about the Gold bead Harrison sight and was prepared to send the pistol to Wayne Novak for night sights but I love the Gold Bead I have to say that out of all of the 1911's I have had in my life this is the best!
  5. Picked her up a couple of hours ago, I would like to thank D&T Arms for doing such a smooth transfer for me, they have a awesome Gun store and fantastic customer service The fit and finish on this one is better than my last, not sure but since this one is the 1.5 Guarantee a lot more hours went into this build, I could not be more happy as it is on par with the fit and finish of my Ed Browns which is saying something. I will take pictures once my camera charges up and I will run a few boxes of my carry ammo through her. If this gun shoots as good as it looks ( I know it will) I will be extremely pleased! With VZ Gunner Grips installed, this is how she will stay I love these grips! Sorry crappy cell phone pictures but she is a gorgeous trust me!
  6. Maybe so guys, But I would not trade any of my high end 1911's for even 10 Glocks I love the 1911 platform and they are worth that to me
  7. It's there waiting for me, but the owner of D&T arms has to put it in his books before I can pick it up, so tomorrow I will get it
  8. I will pick it up this afternoon, it is on the UPS truck for delivery and I will post some pics after picking it up
  9. Yes, I got to shoot one in .45, simple accurate no frills bad ass 1911, I love them
  10. Not bad considering the wait for a Professional Springfield is now up to nearly 3 years,
  11. I have been wanting another 10MM pistol since I regrettably sold my Glock 20SF. I was set to order another through a dealer friend of mine. When I inquired about getting the Glock and my next 1911 the Gun Crafter No Name in .45, he informed me that they will do it in 10MM now so I ordered one. It will be a quoted 45 weeks before I get the pistol and this will give me plenty of time to get a Dillon reloaded and start reloading. This will be my first 1911 not in .45, I think I will like it

  14. Should have my new SRP Tuesday! I cannot wait
  15. I am in Australia at the moment and wearing my TGO polo short, anyway while in the Sydney Airport 3 Australian gentlemen began discussing firearms with me. The Aussies love Jack Daniels and as I am learning more every time I come into this country, they love their guns as well. I truly feel sorry for these people and I cannot begin to tell you all just how lucky we all are being able to buy the guns that we can. One of the guys I was talking with just got rid of several high end shotguns because the government here makes it very expensive and a pain in the but to own them, Just felt like sharing this, Now for my long journey home
  16. Very nice, the Ruger SR1911 is my favorite production 1911,   nice shooting as well
  17. Will have these by the end of the year I was trying to buy a Koa wood and Stag Q-36 from someone but at the last minute they decided to keep them ( I really do not blame them) Here is a picture of one with Koa wood inserts ( not my knife being made but will be just like it t the other that I have coming will be Carbon Fiber inserts the blade steel of these will be CTS204P This one I think will be my favorite, and yes Mike, I am getting them through RJ himself
  18. Only downside is the blade size, the q36 is just under 4 inches but the ZT goes over I am surprised they made it that long
  19. Congrats it is a damn fine knife! I meant to add this as well
  20. Mav, If you think that is great, get ahold of a Q36 and you will see why it is my all time favorite folding knife
