  1. I knew he would eventually sign, I just received my Scarab and my M2 Brend knife 20 minutes ago. I love both of them and am so happy now that I will be able to carry them July 1st!
  2. This evening I spoke on the phone with Walter Brend, he is an awesome guy he will be building me a Custom D2 in the near future, I probably will never carry it as it is going to be way too nice to do so but I will cherish it I had no idea what a great man he was until I spoke with him,
  3. When you want one the best in the world Katana for non Japanese folks are built by Howard Clark, he builds them the right way but we are talking about $4k One day I will have one of his Katanas
  4. Yes mine neutered me a long time ago for buying high end knives and guns
  5. Honestly, if this law goes into effect I am done with all of my favorite custom flipper knives. I actually backed out of a group buy for RJ Martin who is my favorite knife maker but as much as I love his I like automatics better and always will I have always been fascinated with them and if I am finally allowed to legally carry them here in Tennessee I will be extremely pleased
  6. I ordered a USN goat Head and toxic green and black lanyard for it, I think it will look cool!
  7. This one and and my Executive Scarab will be the first ones I will carry if the law goes into effect, and if it does go onto the books come June I will begin to buy at least 5 more to join them so I will have a different one for every day of the week, That is how I will be celebrating the passing of this bill!
  8. Honestly, not my thing at all, to each their own but I would not even pay $900.00 for it
  9. If any of you are familiar with Walter Brend, you know that paying $340.00 for one of his knifes is a steal. It took me a while to find these and I was shocked to see they still had any left, but Walter did a run of these D2 Automatic knives and they are built like tanks. I have a lot of friends on the knife forums that own several expensive knives and the M2 by Walter Brend is regarded as one of the best built autos out there, they are as strong as any folding knife This is what the OD green model looks like I already ordered one so I am posting the link in case any of you may want to order one http://www.knifeworks.com/walterbrendknivesm2brendtriplegrindautoodgreenanodized6061milspecaluminumhandle.aspx
  10. Lol still have not heard a peep about them
  11. Update, I would like to thank Tim Calhoun, This SRP has been awesome except it did not like CMC Power mags and eventually Wilson magazines what I mean is it would lock the slide back prematurely after 3 or 4 rounds Tim fixed this for me by filing down and adjusting the slide stop. I ran several mags of all kinds through the pistol yesterday and it works great. A few years ago I bought several boxes of Hornady Tap FPD ammo, I tried it in every 1911 that I owned and it would not feed right I am talking a Wilson Combat, Nighthawk Custom, Ed Brown and Les Baer pistols, none would feed two magazines in a row reliably of this ammo so I started keeping my Sig P220 loaded with it, the Sig has always liked it I ran 75 rounds of The TAP ammo as fast as I could through my SRP and it ran like a Swiss watch, I was shocked that it fed this ammo as well as it did, I love this 1911 Tim is a gentleman and knows his stuff
  12. Yes the Executive Scarab was discontinued and in 2014 they made another run
  13. You got that right, as much as I hate Tony and his way they still make some of the best auto knives in the world
  14. Not sure if they are stopping the making of the regular scarab but I do know there will be a re issue of the Navy Seal Scarab the first run was done in 09. The new ones are due this summer or sooner. The downside will be the price as they will be like $600. I sold my 2009 one for a good profit I miss it now and will probably get one of the re issues

    Remington R-51

Sorry but after seeing that I will not buy one,
  16. I have owned 2 Piranha knives, one was the body guard and while I did like the model it had a lot of blade play, in fact both models did now that I think about it, while this is not a big deal I just want you be be aware about that if you have no experience with them. I would take any model Pro Tech over the bodyguard I will give the Excaliber a try one of these days, they are priced the same as a Micro Tech Scarab so I would guess they have tighter tolerances than their other models
  17. They definitely are expensive but at least in this case, well worth it I had a Scarab made in 05 that I bought new I used that knife hard and fired it several thousand times, I ended up selling it for more than I paid for it and the buyer still uses the knife. I now wish I would have kept all of my autos as I may be allowed to carry them soon
  18. Microtech Executive Scarab 3.44 Blade, here is the link http://www.thehollowgrind.com/microtech-executive-scarab-se-black-plain/prod_1331.html
  19. Group buy I would definitely be into, I just ordered this, it will make a great carry knife if the law goes through
  20. I had a .50 Guncrafter 1911 for a while, very cool gun I had problems finding ammo for her so I sold it off a long time ago,
