  1. I would very much like to see pictures of those Old 1911's they are the best!!!!
  2. I hear you
  3. I was joking about the burial, it will most definetly be passed down. Believe me if for $4800.00 I could find a full auto decent gun, I would have bought that first but checking prices lately add about 10K to that price and you may just find one,
  4. Neither, this is a gun forum, when I get new guns or order new ones this seems like an appropriate place to post it no?
  5. The total cost will be $4860.00,(web prices are higher than I got) I already spent 800.00 on the Colt, the work will cost me $4060.00 maybe a couple hundred more if I want a presentation box, but this will be my baby, like Joe said it is like owning a fine piece of art, it just happens to be a Colt 1911
  6. Thanks Joe, the budget is definately screwed, I have always wanted a full custom job, and after speaking with Jason Burton on the phone for a couple of hours, the cost is definately justified in my opinion I am just glad my wife did not shoot me when I told her about it, actually she was very cool about it, kinda scary:)
  7. Well as it stands I am fortunate enough to have some pretty nice 1911 pistols, semi custom But I have just sent off my series 70 Colt stainless Government model to Heirloom Percision for Ted Yost's magic, it will be at least a year wait but Monday I will be on the waiting list, here is a link as to what it will look like when completed, http://www.heirloomprecision.com/photos/Ted_Yost/Signature_Grade_Pair_2007/ this will be my final 1911, a full house custom job that will be buried with me
  8. I use Milt Sparks Versa Max 2 holsters, IWB, I have no problems whatsoever and wear the same clothes with or without the gun, it is by far the most comfortable holster for IWB that I could ever reccomend
  9. Yes he does,he is a smart man he knows sending me pics gets me to pay them off quicker
  10. I was never a fan of a railed 1911, but when Ed Brown came out with one, I decided to order this,Naked slide, rear yellow and front green Novaks, Surefire X300 light I am damn glad I did, here it is built the way I ordered, she is still in layaway but my dealer sent me a pic, This will be my next home defense pistol, I will be giving my Springfield XD 45 acp and X200 surefire away after I pick it up,
  11. Thanks man
  12. We are in Gattlinburg on vacation and several shops sell these airsoft guns,( I have never heard of them) what is the point of them, if that orange tip was removed they look exactly like real firearms, this will certainly get some kids shot when a Law enforcement officer sees someone waving one of these around
  13. Ed Brown Kobra Carry, Executive Elite, Les Baer TRS, and my Nighthawk when I get it out of Layaway, I trust the lives of my family to finely tuned 1911's to me it is worth the risk of losing them to an evidence locker to know that my wife and kids will be safe...
  14. Kano is my shooting buddy,a Good friend, Believe me he can shoot 1 at 50 yards, this guy is phenominal and has some awesome 1911's to boot
  15. What time will this be Saturday? If I am able I will bring Sodas and Chips, depends on the time, I have been meaning to check out that range
  16. May God bless you and your family Eddie, I am truley sorry for your loss.....
  17. Ed Brown Commander Bobtail polished stainless steel, marked Custom by Ed Brown on the slide, I had one offered to me at a very reasonable price, but sadly did not have the money
  18. an XD-45 would be an Excellent choice, that is what I use with a Surefire X200 light loaded with Federal Hydrashok 230 Grain
  19. Thanks,
  20. Very nice collection, very nice indeed
  21. My dealer just got this in today,I ordered it 2 months ago, it will be in layaway for quite sometime but it will be worth the wait , Naked slide, single safety, 3 pound trigger
  22. He would be carrying this,
  23. Forgive my ignorance, but who is King Jimmy?
