  1. Joe is awesome, I had the chance to meet him the other day, to anyone on these forums who has not visited Hero Gear, do yourself a favor and go, they are great guys who go out of their way for their customers and have an AWESOME selection of guns and everything you could want!!
  2. Well, Thanks to Joe at Hero Gear, I traded my TRS for a Black one, I love this gun and I will get it SBR'd this will definately be a fun gun to shoot and I will definately hang on to it, Joe is an awesome guy and owns the Best gun shop that I have ever visited, definately worth the drive
  3. Les Baer TRS, If I get the gun I will SBR it, I think these are ingenious guns and I love the 50 round capacity,
  4. Do any of you have experience with an FN PS-90? A guy I work with is offering me a heck of a deal on one, actually a trade for one of my many 1911 pistols for the PS90 new in box, Please let me know your thoughts on this gun if you are experienced with it
  5. willis68

    Would you trade?

If those watches are authentic, go for it, if you decide to keep the gun, please let me know if he is willing to sell that Omega,
  6. Just alot of rain and a few things blown around here, now we have another 4 storms coming in the next few weeks, it will be a heck of a season to say the least!
  7. Thanks for all of your prayers, this could have been much worse and I couldnt be happier about being wrong
  8. Unfortunately I think that this will be the worst storm in history, I am at work on my boat in Mobile Alabama at the shipyard as I write this, all of my co workers that live in Louisianna were sent off the boat yesterday, to evacuate their familys,we are going to ride it out here at the dock, if the storm turns away from its projected route, this may the the last time you all here from me in all seriousness I have for the last few years worked with people from the Gulf Coast and personnally seen how their lives are effected by these storms, I am asking for you all to Pray that this is not as devistating as I believe it will be, Thanks
  9. OHIO STATE BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. +2
  11. VZ, Not the Aliens but my GRP has the Gatorback VZ grips, I absolutely love them and will never change them out, I am sure that they are the same high quality, VZ makes some outstanding grips, great on carry 1911's
  12. I have been infactuated with them since I was 6 years old, to me they are the only true battle tested american designed and built semi automatic pistol out there, they can be customized several ways to look so different, and when you get one that is built right, there is no better shooting experience, I carry and trust my life to mine, but to each their own,
  13. Not sure what kind of grips you are looking for, but wooden grips for the 1911, there is no one better in my opinion then this lady http://www.esmeralda.cc/ they are the finest wood grips I have ever seen, I have bought 3 pair and couldnt be happier
  14. Not a fan either, but I know that those VIP tickets are Very Expensive, you might even be able to trade them for an Army 1911, some people are that hardcore about it Congrats, you will have a Blast at the race!
  15. Thanks Dave, I appreciate it, I will definately be getting a 7 shot 686, probalbly with a 2.5 barrel
  16. Forgive my ignorance, but what are the differences in the frames? L,K etc? Nice revolvers you have by the way,
  17. Dave, Is that a 686 top right? if so how do you like it? I have been wanting one of those with a 2 to 2.5 inch barrel for a while, I am definately going with Smith and Wesson on my first wheel gun purchase as they are in my opinion the best on the market,
  18. Personally for that money I would buy a Browning or Ruger 22lr pistol, I had one of these 22 conversions for a brief period, like you I thought it would help my skills with the 1911, with the NO recoil factor I found it just as easy to dry fire my pistols to get the same skills, Just my 2 cents
  19. Agreed, m1911.org "John" the Greek Moderator can be an ass, and the 10-8 forums are superior as they have professional members whom use these guns everyday, however all of these forums are great for just snooping around and getting opinions of every specific 1911
  20. Gentlemen, If you truly want to know the differences, this is not the correct site, as good as TGO is it does not specialize in the 1911, go here http://forum.m1911.org/index.php or here http://forums.1911forum.com/index.php and read till your hearts content of what thousands of owners actually think of each brand of 1911, this thread has grown long in the tooth here........
  21. He could have been a LEO, they do this on some gun forums looking for people to bite..
  22. Hopefully I will never need this protection, besides my Guns and expensive knives, Paperwork, Jewelry certificates are also stored in it here is a company Fort Knox safe with less fire rating than mine being put through the test [ame] [/ame]
  23. Does anyone know of a CCW cource instructed by women that I can get my wife to go to close to Nashville? any info on it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks,
  24. I'm telling you, if you have a reluctant spouse, send her to a QUALITY HCP course, taught by PROFESSIONALS. AND DO NOT ATTEND WITH HER!! SHE DOESN'T NEED TO LEARN THE BASICS FROM YOU! It will make all the difference. I think that is excellent advice that I intend to follow, my wife is like yours was and that is the only thing I have not tried
  25. For home defense, I would reccomend a Remington 870 HD 12 gauge, they are very good at keeping pests out and the sound of the action of a pump shotgun can make those things that go bump in the night go away
