  1. Where did you get that Stock? a guy I work with has been looking for one like that for months
  2. Sold, I will be buying a couple of these for my Glocks, I know they will not conceal as well as my IWB however my 1911's will always ride in Milt Sparks Leather Versa Max 2's these do look like the best plastic holster I have seen and now that I know which part is depressed, Im sorry to say this but the ones who have shot themselves and blame the design of this holster should not own a gun in the first place
  3. Congrats, I think you will be very happy with it
  4. I say if you have the available funds, go for it. I have an Eotech 552 on my Rock River Arms pro series Government and I love it, I am building another AR, I wanted it a little different, mainly dark earth in color, a 1 in 7 twist barrel and I will be putting this http://www.opticsplanet.net/picture-1-trijicon-acog-4x32-ecos-dual-illum-scope-ta31-ecos.html on it, I have tried this model and they are well worth the money to me:)
  5. on this picture http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/images/bh_serpa_19_jpg.jpg where the release is do you press it on the end that is closer to the grip or the end that is closer to the slide? I have never used one. I hope you can understand what I am asking. Think of it as a rocker switch, it looks to me like it can be pressed on either side of it. If you press the end closer to the slide it is further away from the trigger and I thing safer?
  6. Question: on the Serpa the lock release it it on the bottom or top? what I mean is where you press to release it is it closer to the slide or trigger? I am thinking of ordering a couple of these
  7. Not sure where you are getting $170.00 for the VM2, my last one with the added shark skin trim totaled $135.00 and is worth well more than that, standard VM2's cost $105.00.
  8. Milt Sparks, http://www.miltsparks.com/ there is a long wait for there products for a very good reason. I have several products from them their quality is outstanding. For an in the waist band Holster I would get the Versa Max 2, I own two of them and have used several other makers and I find these to be the best.
  9. That would be great, Exactly what I am looking for I will keep researching it
  10. If there is one without the lock and just a button that would be great, I have been searching for one
  11. Whatever you decide to buy I would make sure it is chambered for 5.56. That will shoot NATO ammo as well as 223. If it is chambered in 223 you will not be able to shoot 5.56 ammo through it, something to consider
  12. I would consider Rock River Arms if I were you. They are fantastic rifles Daniel Defense also makes a fine rifle, there is a good deal from a forum vender here, http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=618 I would buy this if I were you, very good deal and out the door price on a hard to find rifle. A friend of mine just bought one of these and it is an awesome weapon
  13. If I had the dough I would be all over that one:)
  14. What other Perazzi did you get? I would love to own one some day
  15. And I thought the Browning I want was expensive Those are regarded by several people as the creme of the crop it sure is pretty. Are the cases of Jack Daniel's in the background included with the sale price?
  16. Locked away from the kids, I have a proper gun safe, what I am looking for a way to keep the Shotgun close to my bed but secured from my little ones..
  17. I am looking into getting something like this http://www.outdoorsuperstore.com/product.asp?prod=284064 http://i408.photobucket.com/albums/pp164/Timulator/Gun-Lok007a.jpg Where my Shotgun can be very accessible but at the same time secure. Anyone used one of these or have any better suggestions?
  18. Thanks for your comments guys,I appreciate them. I should have titled this thread Carrying a 10 Mil, as that is the information that I am really looking for. This has been quite informative for me as I am not that familiar with the 10 Mil, After shooting 50 rounds of 200 Grain Hornady through my Glock 20SF, I have to say that it is truly superior to the 45acp, and definitely a mans gun, I like it very much
  19. The fact that a few of you guys carry the 10 mil is comforting to me. I really like the round and once I get very comfortable with it I will definitely carry it.
  20. I agree with you. I am very proficient with the 45 after years of practicing. Once I get more aquatinted with the 10 mil,I really like the 20SF, I will more than likely carry it in the winter. I have shot several thousand 45 rounds but only around 50 of the 10 mil. I think the one I saw was a 1911 Wilson Combat 10 mil CQB, it has been a few years ago when this was on TV so it may have been the Glock that was refereed to on here. At the end of the day any round used in self defense can get you prosecuted. When I get more familiar several more range trips I will be as comfortable as I am with the 45. Whenever a Hotter more powerful load is used than the police carry, there will be something more to defend.
  21. A shotgun is no problem as home defense, the 44 mag I have is this one and designed to be carried, http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=11101&storeId=10001&productId=45957&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=15714&isFirearm=Y People have been using 12 gauge shotguns for home defense longer than I have been alive. If you were correct about no cases of 10 mill being considered extreme, that would be great I would love to carry the round with the penetration the 10 mill has. However I know for a fact that there was a case documented on TV , I think dateline, where a person shot a 10 mil round through a 1911 in self defense and was prosecuted for it. What hurt the person who was charged was the fact that they considered the 10 mil excessive force, as would be the case with a .44 magnum. By the same token In my opinion it would be irresponsible for me to carry it when it may involve me shooting around other people who could potentially be in danger due to over penetration.
  22. That gun is gorgeous, I am seriously Jealous
