  1. I do not think there is a way to tell, a friend of mine owned a Professional Springfield (pro), he told me that its forged frame and slide was made is South America, he sold the gun after he learned it. (not the only reason) Sadly I think the only way you can be sure is to buy another manufacturers gun
  2. You don't, as far as I can tell it is the same as my 552 sans Night vision adaptability, which I do not use anyway I was going to tell you to make sure you got the one that uses AA batteries and it does, so I would get it if you found a good deal
  3. Understood, however you did not mention a price neighborhood, of the two I would get the Springfield, I am just not fond of 1911's made in the Philippines but to each their own
  4. if you want to customize it get a 70 series colt, no better platform to start from
  5. Thanks for mentioning that, I forgot to specify that to my dealer! but I like it better without it
  6. Sorry, but I think it looks like , but if you are happy with it who cares what anyone else thinks
  7. 1. Semi custom 1911 (have a few) 2. Full House Custom 1911 (working on it) 3. Over Under Grade VI 12 gauge Browning shotgun (definitely in the future) 4. 12 Gauge custom pump shotgun (got it) 5. AR-15, several (have 1, building a 2nd) This is the list I am working on anyway
  8. My dealer is ordering it, they are very hard to find so that is why I am guessing it will be winter before I have it, Very nice rifle the one I shot was black but I dig this camo job on this one!
  9. Well, I had a LWRC SABR on order for several months now, and it keeps being delayed, the name has even been changed, anyway it is much more of a .308 than I need, so for more than 1.3K less, I asked my dealer to get me one of these instead, I got to shoot one of these a few weeks ago and it was a lot of fun It will be early this Winter before I get it but I think I will like it
  10. I have 2 phones on my account, my Blackberry and the wife's G1 unlimited Everything Internet, voice, Text messengers $167.00 plus tax a month total for both phones together, so if you are only getting 300 voice minutes that is very high
  11. how do you know what letters I left out
  12. The Blackberry Tour, is exactly like the Blackberry 8900 Curve that I have now, if you get that phone you will be very happy and it is a hell of a lot cheaper than I paid, I got mine the day they were launched and paid over $460.00 for it and i have no regrets
  13. The internet on my Blackberry Curve 8900 is as good if not better than an Iphone, it opens full HTML web pages and the speed is very fast for a mobile phone. I had Cingular (Att) for a while, but I had nothing but problems. Again T-Mobile is the only one who offers UMA, if you have a wireless internet connection, you will have service on your phone without any 3rd party software, it is built in on UMA phones like the 8900 Curve. My friend lives in the middle of the Cherokee national forrest,Reliance TN, when we visited him he has AT&T, his girlfriend has Verizon my UMA worked great connected to his home network, they cant use their cell phones at home
  14. I have T mobile, If it works in your area, I have had 5 different Blackberries with them and no problems with anything, going on 8 years, I now have the Curve 8900 it does everything I want, I pay $19.95 for unlimited Net, Text I highly recommend it, if you only need 300 minutes of talk, they have very reasonable plans, also T mobile has UMA, the Curve has this what that does is if connected to a wireless router, it will work off your internet and your minutes will not be charged, I use this offshore and it works very well
  15. Very Nice pictures guys, since I have a Mac laptop, I guess I will get aperture 2 instead of photoshop, I am told that with it and photomatix along with my canon software that I should be able to do virtually everything I will ever need to with a digital camera?
  16. Here is a RAW photo of my Lead Tech and the Biggest Red Fish I have ever seen taken with a Nikon D90, then processed with HDR with Photomatic these look really cool, RAW photos are awesome and are what I love about digital
  17. My Niece is going to Okinawa Japan for two years as a Nazarene missionary school teacher, in a few months I will get her to find prices for me for a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and some L lenses, hopefully they will be cheaper over there
  18. Skip is a great guy to deal with, when I lived in Chattanooga, he is who I used
  19. I have been wanting to get into photography for a long time. I was going to buy a Nikon DSLR camera a few weeks ago, since I know little to nothing about photography I bought a Canon Power shot G10. This is a full manual 14.7 mega pixel camera with some very cool features. it shoots RAW and alot of other things, I go offshore next week and one of the guys I work with is a Professional photographer, as well as an ROV superintendent. He is the one that talked me into buying this camera. I have taken several pictures but when I go offshore I will take some HDR photos (with his help) and post them. Taking pictures is a hell of alot more fun than I ever thought it would be I am getting the Photography bug, Damn it another expensive habit
  20. Yes, that is when the guys I am referring to asked me WTF is this?
