It will more than likely be a month in a half or so, but I will be shooting 500 rounds of Remington Golden Saber 230 Grain through her before anything else. I do this to all of my carry guns and will not strip or clean it until after. I will be more than happy to send you pictures, again it may be up until 6 weeks before this is done but if you PM me your email address I will gladly oblige

Here she is, man this thing is much tighter than my last not sure but they may have given me the 1.5 upgrade by mistake, It honestly is much tighter and harder to rack the slide than my first one! as usual the Baers come drenched in oil, but here is a picture of my new friend I forgot how much i missed my TRS!!

    Should be here this evening!!
  5. Sorry to say this but that ammo is Crap, so what your Glock ate it, everyone I know who has used the ammo (reloaded) from Atlanta arms has had problems. Even a few Glocks choke on this crap, so How is this your new Sigs fault? Do you love that ammo so much that you are willing to take a loss on a pistol that will not feed it? I hope for your sake that if you do replace it with a Glock that it will eat that ammo. Good Luck
  6. Unemployment must be treating you good
  7. I understand and accept that, however in your original post you were comparing +p GAP (Double Tap) to standard pressure Gold Dot .45ACP(that is how i read it) so that is what I commented on. Personally I have no need for +P or .45GAP, standard pressure Remington Golden Saber 230 Grain is all of the .45 ammo I use or will ever need for that matter.
  8. Lets compare Oranges to Oranges Double Tap 230gr .45ACP -1014 FPS Double Tap 230gr .45GAP -935 FPS

For the Money the TRS is the best 1911 out there, I still love my Brown's and Nighthawks but for a no nonsense fighting tool the TRS is the way to go and I cant wait to wear the finish off of it

Well I should have my new Les Baer TRS this Thursday evening. This is the only gun that I have ever bought twice. After trading away my first one I missed it about 6 months later, this one will have no front cocking serrations just like my old one. I am excited and know what to expect! I will definitely keep this one as I have never missed a pistol so much that I sold or traded away

May or June delivery, we are thinking of moving back to Florida (sometime in 2010) but if I am still here when I get the rifle I will bring it to one of the TGO shoots

    LMT .308

Sorry I should have clarified, my Dealer ordered one for me not sure when he will get it yet but he called in the order. LMT has been developing this rifle for a very long time I am looking forward to it

    LMT .308

Yes, I had ordered one when it was called the SABR there were several delays. I will still get one in the future but this LMT will cost me about $900.00 less so it is easier to justify

I just ordered one of these, did not realize they were being made yet!! https://www.lewismachine.net/product.php?p=204&cid=0&session=b1c3a46f102046762fe4022807b7c9f9
  18. Mike, Sorry about you not being around them anymore, but as much as me and the Family love Tennessee, we are more than likely moving back to Florida towards the end of this year. We miss the weather and I am fortunate enough to have a job which allows me to live wherever we want. We will be taking our Grandchildren with us, believe me when I say I know how much you get attached to them!
  19. if you want it as close to a 1911 trigger as possible have an SRT and action enhancement done from Sig, I had a stock NIB p220R that I sent in to Sig and I absolutely love it,
  20. I had that and the SRT as well as action enhancement done to my P220, turn around from door to door was 10 days, you will not regret it! I just went with the Sig night sights and I love them
  21. Guys, I have a question, I am wanting to order a PSD LWRC 6.8 that is an NFA item, what I may do instead is order the M6A2 Pistol in 6.8, now my question is if I decide to make it a rifle later (add a butt stock) with the proper NFA paperwork and stamp, would the receiver have to be engraved? and what all is involved with that process? the reason I am thinking of going with the pistol set up is that my dealer is not a Class3 and will let me lay it away for a year. Any help would be appreciated
  22. I disagree, when I travel, every month I always visit the book stores at the airports I go through. I find a book that I like and in 45 seconds I have it on my Kindle without having to add to my luggage, so far I have been able to purchase every book I ever wanted at a discount. Books that are no longer copy write protected can be downloaded and read on the Kindle for free, for me they (kindles) are a Godsend
  23. I have had one since they first came out. Generally I use to read 1 book per hitch, month if you will. With the Kindle I have been reading 4 to 5, it is MUCH easier on my eyes then paper. I work on a boat and anytime we are witin cell service my Kindle can download books, if no service is available It can be plugged up to your computer via USB. I can not reccomend these enough. Every person that I have let read it has bought there own. I am thinking of getting a new one, with international service and giving my original to my wife. If you read alot Buy one and you will wonder why you waited so long. I paid ALOT for mine as I got it when they were first released and they were very scarce, I still regard it as one of my best purchases and at the price they are now they are a bargain in my opinion!
