To the OP, That is one Hell of an endorsement coming from Kano, trust me when I say that he has and does own some of the best and most expensive 1911's made. For him to recommend the Valor and the fact that he now owns 2 of them, well that speaks in volumes to me __________________
  4. I just sold a pistol to a gentleman in Florida, anyway where I had it shipped through they had a NIB Kobra Carry Stainless with ambi safety for an excellent price, (I had no Idea they sold high end 1911's) if anyone is interested PM me for details someone should buy this and if I did not have an Executive carry on order I would have jumped on it
  5. Where can I get a Winchester 1892 for $600.00? PLEASE tell me
  6. No, they certainly are NOT practical, I just think they are very cool and when I found out that I could legally own one non NFA it peaked my interest in them I also want a Fully Auto Tommy Gun, not very practical either but somehow I do not think I will ever be able to afford that, The Mare's Leg will be a cool retro toy for me I will eventually pick one up
  7. I am thinking of getting one of these, I have been wanting one for a long while, does anybody have one?
  8. Have you ever tried it IWB? I carry a Commander and Government model 1911 and they are a heck of a lot easier and more comfortable to conceal than my XD-45 ever was
  9. Yes she is, I took the class that she instructed when I moved back here
  10. Thanks for that, I have not seen that one in a long time
  11. If I were in your shoes, I would buy 2 Glock 17's You will not go wrong with them as a defensive handgun in your home
  12. I am sure a lot of you have seen these but they are pretty cool nonetheless
  13. I think I will buy 2 of those for my first Purchase when mine shows up, they look to be nicely made fun guns to shoot
  14. I will eventually get a Berretta M9 as well, have been wanting one for a while now
  15. As already mentioned in this LONG thread, the 1911 is a "Design" there so many people making them and with that they are bound to have problems. Even the high end makers let one slip through QC once in a blue moon but when you get one that is built right, there is no other handgun on this earth more satisfying to me. Some of These guns cost more because of the hand fitting, intensive labor and attention to detail involved, to me they are worth every cent, to others they are not. Glocks are only made by Glock, I own 3 and like them Very much perhaps when they have proven themselves for a Hundred years, several other manufacturers will make their own version and the platform will suffer from this. Smith and Wesson has already done this and their first version of the Sigma is a total POS compared to the Glock
  16. They (the raw forged stripped lower) are manufactured by Continental Machine Tool, this same manufactures of Noveske's and Wilson Combat's. I love the RRA 2 stage trigger, The AR I last built uses a DPMS stripped lower with RRA internal parts and the two stage trigger and a Noveske upper half you will not go wrong with it
