$650.00 for a 1911 forged and built 100 percent in the USA is hardly expensive, it is in fact a bargain the SR1911

Do your cousin a favor and have him look into the Ruger instead, it is a much better built 1911 and their customer service is superior

Exactly, in fact some spring assisted knives such as the Zero Tolerance 300 series are as fast if not faster than many top of the line Automatics beside that they are much easier to close with one hand

Mav, I have over the years convinced at least 10 guys I have worked with into Buying Glocks as well. I never recommend my favorite handgun the 1911 unless they have the budget to get at least a semi custom one. I am thinking about buying a Gen3 G17 for my wife I do NOT care for the 4th Gen Glocks I do hope they will continue to manufacture the Gen 3
