+1 David is a great guy. Most of the reason I go to the shows anymore is to grab something from him. I don't go anywhere else for reloading supplies as David always treats me right and saves me money.

Foul Language Warning - Trump is at it again
Kenstaroni replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Ha ha...go Trump...at least the f word came out in that sentence instead of Joe Biden saying it about how big of a deal the b.s. healthcare bill was....Trump chooses his F bombs better and can actually stay awake at work...lol -
He should have produced the certificate prior to running for election. I say way to go Trump for getting the white house motivated to produce the legal documents necessary for someone to run for president. Now, do I really believe this new document is real.....I'm going to hold my tougne on that one.

I used to work at a tint shop in Nashville.... On a passenger car no windows can be darker than 35%....on Suv's and trucks only the front two windows are subject to this and rear windows can be as dark as you like. Factory tint on Suv's is typically about 18% or so and it's tinted glass, not film so there's no removing it. The only window tint ticket I've ever gotten was in Hogansville, GA. A little town on the way to Auburn, AL that funds a bunch of charger's and fly tahoes out of a tiny little town by sitting on the interstate and writing anyone and everyone tickets. I was doing 5mph under the speed limit in the right lane with my headlights on and got pulled over and slapped with a $180 ticket. I was polite and showed my HCP and got no consideration. I beat the ticket by showing documentation of removal of the film and pictures. I replaced it with 35% and I've been good since then. Don't remove the film on the back window or you WILL damage the defrost. You need to take it to a shop that has a steamer. It's a little steamer attached to a wand. They steam heat the film which breaks down the glue and the film will pull off clean. If you scrape it with a razor blade you will damage the defrost. The only choice is to scrub it with a scuff pad and a solvent which will take forever...lol I've been out of the business for a while but I heard from a buddy of mine in Nashville who tints windows that TN made it a primary offense. They can pull you over and it is now probable cause to search your car if you have illegally tinted windows. Stick with 35% and you'll be fine. Just get some good high quality metalized film that blocks a lot of heat and UV and it will do as much as dark film to keep you cool. I drive all over TN in a SUV with factory rear tinted glass, front 35%, and 80% on the windshield (not legal but it's basically invisible). 35% will actually read 33% on the cops little device so get a TCA code compliant sticker put under the film on the driver's window and get paperwork from the shop showing it's legal and keep it in your glove box. If the cop still insists to write you a ticket, just take that info into the courtroom and get it dismissed.

Check J&G sales online...they typically have good prices on AK's. I had an AMD 65 and a WASR once upon a time. The AMD was by far much better made and higher quality. The stock sucks unless you rig up a cheek weld and wrap it in paracord, but the gun was awesome. It shoots a huge fireball out as the muzzle brake definately isn't a flash hider....it's a fun gun to go blast with. I'd buy another AMD before a WASR and deal with modifying the stock any day.

I shot the 3 gun match today along with BigJ45. ORSA has a great facility and Robert, the organizer of the events there is a great guy. More folks from TGO need to start coming out....it's a lot of fun for $15.

24gr WC 844 (military version of H335) under a 62gr SS109 bullet does touching or near touching holes at 50 yards out of my LWRC M6A2 1/7 twist. My Ruger SR556 with a 1/9 twist does about 1-1.5 MOA with it. I've loaded Varget in the past but for $90 for 8lbs, the WC 844 gave me better groups and has saved me some cheddar.

I'm probably down. I'll keep checking on the post as we get closer to the 25th.

I've owned a P238, an LCP, and now a Bodyguard. I liked the way the LCP shot but hated the sights. The 238 felt great in the hand due to the 1911 grip style and ran pretty good for me with only minor hickups. My issue with it was it was such a nice gun that I hated to carry it around with the way my carry guns typically are used (tossed in the console, into a bag, back in the pocket, etc). The first Bodyguards were problematic to say the least. Mine was made about 4 week prior to me purchasing it and was a couple prefixes past the EAA and EAB prefixes. The new one's don't have the slide pin problem, trigger problems, and have a round ring that guards the laser button thus reducing wear. Mine shoots great. I would highly recommend one, especially with the recent price drop. I bought mine a couple months ago for $469 and thought I stole it...looks like prices have come down even more. It's a good value now for sure as it's about the same price as an LCP before the $200 laser.

I'm hearing it may be about the 28 gauge Taurus Judge and a couple shotgun pistols on the market....we'll find out tomorrow I guess.

I let the Ms. shoot my 26 and 19.....maybe it was a bad idea to bring the 19 to the range b/c she said she liked it better than the 26...lol I sold the 26 and now the 19 is "her" gun....

Guess I should order some more mags for my S12.....lol Mine is for shooting class and 3 gun....both sporting purposes...not sure how they can claim the pistol grip is non sporting when plenty of Mossberg and 870's have pistol grips. If they ban importation of them, I wouldn't be surprised. I think there's enough info out there to build them from parts. Anyway, this is another useless waste of time. Are non-sporting shotguns any more dangerous than traditional one's ?....lol

Can my evil black rifle be tan?... This is my heavy metal carbine. I wanted a .308 with a 16" barrel that could still shoot sub-moa. This started out as a bone stock AP4 and after the mods below plus a coating of Brownell's Aluma-Hyde II in Coyote Tan (matches Magpul FDE near perfect) I'm pretty happy with her. DPMS AP4 .308 -Troy MRF 13.8 Rail with low profile gas block -Magpul BUIS -PWS FSC 30 Brake -Magpul MIAD -Magpul ACS Stock -Magpul AFG -GG&G Extreme Duty Bipod -Sightmark 8.5-25x50 Scope in a Burris P.E.P.R mount -BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 Charging Handle -A little camo wrap job on the scope 20 rounds of 150 gr Remy Core-lock @100 yards (this is the least accurate ammo I've shot and still has a good group).

If you ever get tired of your dark earth M6A2, I have a black one I'll swap you for

My Aunt and Uncle live near Hickory Hollow mall in Antioch. They, along with my Aunt's parents own quite a bit of land out there. Their house got broken into a few months back and they've had other break-in's ect. in the past. No one has tried to break in while they were home thank goodness (for them...lol). It used to be a nice area out there...too bad the area has gone in the crapper.

I use Multi-cam as I think it works well in almost any environment. I always was everything in scent free wash...I agree that scent is as important as camo.

Let's hit the Clinch this week..my rod hasn't been wet in a couple weeks.

One of my friends bought one new. It was a little awkward for him so he traded it into the store he got it from. I shot it a couple times and thought it was pretty cool. The gun was still there last time I was in the store (last week) for around $1200ish. The gun is at Mike's Gun Shop in Tazewell, TN btw. Good luck.

I came a little after lunch time. Ran into Ohshoot and Gaurfa but didn't see you. I also saw a guy get his ammo stolen. I waited until he walked through the door and infromed him that what they are doing isn't legal and recommended that he could complain to the show owner if he wanted too. I had a good show...I picked up some re-loading stuff from David with Magnum Materials and found a smokin deal on a Bodyguard .380 from Specialty Arms in Lavergne, TN.

what do you guys think of this thing? Bump/slide fire stock?
Kenstaroni replied to a topic in Long Guns
That's the spirit...lol If it were a neatly designed buffer tube only where I could use my current butt stock and grip I'd be all for it. I'm personally not going to spend $300 on an ugly piece of plastic that requires 10 minutes of my time to take on and off....at least not until Jeff gets back to us with the reports of all the fun he's having and why he's starting a donation fund for more ammo...lol -
Savage edge is a good rifle for $300. A Remington 700 SPS tactical, which run around $550-$600 is a great choice if you can float the extra coin. I found a used SPS tactical at Bud's a couple years ago for $415 OTD! Gunblast, a reviewer of guns on youtube, did a piece on the Savage Edge. He tested the .243 caliber version and found it to be sub moa and almost 1/2 moa with match ammo. Not too shabby for a sub $300 rifle with a box mag to boot.

What to do when a bear climbs your stand
Kenstaroni replied to memphismason's topic in Hunting and Fishing
I'm pretty sure you should be considered the utmost authority on this issue -
See you guys around lunch time....gonna wait for the mailman to hopefully bring me an expense check from work

I rented this movie last week. I remember this part because I was very impressed by the reloading and his cowboy revolver hip shooting...lol
