  1.   Very true.  Motorcycling has taught me to be humble when on the roads.  More people should have this experience.
  2. Good-looking rifle and so fun to shoot. :)

Isn't that theft?  And wouldn't the pawn shop be required to give it back if the police showed up looking for it?
  4. Glad to hear things didn't get out of hand.  Carrying has pretty much eliminated road rage for me.  Can't afford the luxury.  That and the realization that you never know who's strapped. ;)   What did you do that caused him to follow you?  Or at least what did you do that made him so angry?
  5. I don't have a problem with the guy's actions, but how hard is it to grab a JRT by the back legs and give it a whirl?   BTW, JRT's are of the devil.   http://manningham-leader.whereilive.com.au/news/story/face-ripped-off/  (Warning: Graphic Images)
  6. Potential quote from HK exec.  "We wanted a bigger TV, but the box-fed machine gun got in the way."
  7. Interesting concept, but I just can't get past the idiot daughter disarming the only-thing-between-us-and-the-hordes alarm system with one push of a button.  An idiotic move, of course, but the alarm doesn't have a passcode, verification prompt, etc???  I can't close my browser if it has more than one tab open without it asking me am I sure, and she opens up the entire house with one push of a button?
  8. Doesn't sound like the administration did anything out of the ordinary. He violated dress code and they dealt with it.
  9. I'm curious as to why having a carry permit made a difference in whether or not he was charged?
  10. You definitely should be proud!  She'll probably remember this sort of stuff for the rest of her life.  Good job, Dad.
  11. I wonder how much this influences their decision?  I wouldn't be surprised either way, really.  You should get a small kick-back from the chamber of commerce if they do end up here. ;)
  12. Sportsmans guide is sending FedEx to pick up the ammo on their dime and is going to issue a refund. Good response by them but its still too bad there's no more in stock. Looks like I'm going to have to start reloading my own.
  13. That some good news at least.
  14. Guy does make it look pretty simple.
  15.   I lol'ed.  What are the prices like?  I've seen a few places online with ammo and guns in stock, but at their prices, I could see why.
  16. Exactly. It's mind-boggling that none of the charity type programs have been affected but so many other, more important functions have.
  17. Hopefully the public will see these moves for what they are and make our elected officials pay at the next available election.  And if this was Bush or any other Republican president doing the same thing, the media would be frothing at the mouth.
  18. Those prices are crazy.  Definitely no deals to be had there.
  19. Sportsmansguide.com, where I ordered the ammo, agreed to a return and are paying shipping.  They're out of stock at the moment, so probably no replacement is possible.
  20. I'm not sure other than it was a green box from Graf and Sons. Looked like this:
  21. No problem at all.  I sent an email and waiting to see what I get back.  Probably nothing positive.
  22. Anybody in the Brentwood area able to reload these, then?  I don't have the equipment or know how at the moment.
  23. Had a strange experience this weekend at the range, and was curious if anyone had any idea what would cause this. I was shooting my Type 99 Arisaka with some ammo from Graf and Sons. 2 out of the 4 rounds I tried misfired. The primer seemed to go off, though I never heard anything other than the firing pin click. The bullet was pushed from the case and lodged in the barrel, but none of the power ignited. The power seemed clumped together, but I'm not sure if that's normal. Is this just bad ammo?
  24.   I need to find that m1 and trade, then.  I shot mine for the first time yesterday, my should is hurtin'!
