  1. I am hopelessly optimistic for you. Keep us posted.
  2. Great find on the X5 but that sucks on the DL. I'll be heading to Sevierville soon and will be stopping off at Bud's Gun Shop, Smoky Mountain Guns & Ammo and a few of the other shops.
  3. That's not good to hear. Hopefully they have at least kept in communication with you on the status. I sent them a few emails and they were very responsive.
  4. I'm spending a weekend up towards Pigeon Forge in a few weeks and will be stopping off at Smokey Mountain Knife Works. Will definitely plan to take a look at this one.
  5. I keep a small handgun safe for easy access on one floor of my house and then the other floor has my larger/main safe. I have an additional handgun safe that I'm still trying to determine where I can put it. I have two little ones but have been training them and working to remove the curiosity.
  6. Found a Life Expectancy calculator based on heart rate bpm: http://www.csgnetwork.com/avglifeexpfromhr.html My bpm averages in the mid 50's. Based on this calculator it says I "should" make it into my late 80's but who really knows except the man above.
  7. I like the looks of that package with the undercut. Looks like they have good pricing on their CNC milling compared to some I have seen. Looking to add a Trijicon RMR06 to my Glock G20. May go ahead and have them do that Stage 1 Frame Package if I send them my G20 frame for milling. What did they quote you on turn around time?
  8. The good thing about the P320 (which I am sure you are aware) is the ability to change out the grip modules to help with that. I have a P320 Compact in .40S&W and have not noticed much muzzle flip like I would normally expect with a .40 and the P320rx I have in 9mm is basically non-existant and a pleasure to shoot. Even with 124gr 9mm that I shoot as compared to 115gr. Sent from my SM-T310 using Tapatalk
  9. I have the P320rx and there seems to be a limited availability/options on holsters at this point which has prohibited me from using it as an EDC. Otherwise I am deadly accurate with it and wouldn't mind carrying it. Sent from my SM-T310 using Tapatalk
  10. Also picked up a G43 for summer carry a few weeks ago and immediately put some TruGlo TFX Pro sights on it and a Ghost Edge Connector for the trigger.
  11. Recent purchase - Sig P320rx Compact with Romeo1 - 9mm. Has been a lot of fun to shoot with the red dot.
  12. Very nice! Hunted with it for the first time this past season. 2 deer taken with it. Very happy with mine also to say the least.
  13. Looks great! And good luck. I started hunting a little later in life myself. Also hunt with a .308 (Browning X-Bolt White Gold Medallion).
  14. Your buddy is exactly right. My property seems to be covered up with hens and jakes but very few mature gobblers. Last Saturday I was out and saw 6 hens and 1 gobbler cruising around in the down pour while I was staying dry in a deer blind. Am also training some future turkey hunters this season. Been bringing my 3 and 5 year old sons with me so I haven't been as mobile as I usually am during turkey season. Even though I haven't taken a gobbler yet it's been fun being out there with my kids. They've spotted turkeys when I haven't seen them so it's been like having a few extra set of eyes with me.
  15. Good luck! Your having a great season.
  16. Congrats @whiskey & @10-Ring!! The large flocks that I have been seeing were on another property down the street from family land that I hunt on this morning. Waved to them when I saw them as I was heading home. My property was covered up with turkey last weekend during youth hunt and I had my son with me but he still has one more year before he can hunt and needs some more trigger time/practice otherwise he would have had his pickings.
  17. Check out Amendment 2 cerakoting. Might be best to contact him through Facebook. I believe he is a supporting vendor on TGO (or used to be) and can contact him that way also. He's done about 4 of mine. Highly recommend it and his work. He is located in Williamson County area.
  18. Yeah if the TruGlo cracks again I'm going to look into Burris. TruGlo customer service is replacing it but the only disappointing part is having to pay for shipping to send it and return it ($20 total in shipping). Still on the fence with the Longbeards vs Hevi-Shot. What kind of results have you had as far as distance? Shots above were at 30yds.
  19. Was out patterning my shotgun on Monday afternoon when I was packing it up and leaving I saw two jakes cruising across one of the big fields that I hunt on some family property. Promising sign. The glass on the TruGlo Red Dot scope I am using also cracked during the process. Sent it back in to TruGlo for replacement and will hopefully have the replacement back before opening day. The Hevi-Shot HEVI-13 Magnum Blend 3.5" shells had quite the boom and may have cracked it so I may stick with the Winchester Long Beard XR #6's that did a nice job patterning with my Indian Creek choke. Recoil wasn't nearly as bad as the HEVI-13's. Target on the left is with the 3.5" Winchester Long Beard XR #6. Target on the right is with the 3.5" Hevi-Shot HEVI-13 Magnum Blend (#5, #6 #7). Shot on the right was a little too low. I think I was seeing two green dots with the busted scope at that point.
  20. I am in my late 30's so I will eventually break even and get ahead on it (just barely). Still a much better deal than the Tennessee lifetime hunting license. Try $1,976.00 for that one. Purchased each of my sons a lifetime hunting license for $200 before they turned 3. I pay $166 a year just for a Sportmans Hunting License. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  21. Mine renews in June and debating on the lifetime. Is all that has to be done is a trip to the DMV, new photo and pay the $250?
  22. Not unless you are looking for a samurai knife or beef jerky. Otherwise I wouldn't waste your time. Good deals and prices are no longer found at gun shows, especially Bill Goodman. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  23. Did you happen to upgrade to macOS Sierra around the same time? No specific experience with the searching for terms inside of word documents but have experienced some interesting stuff since the upgrade. A lot of my locally trusted certs were purged after the upgrade.
