  1. I joined in. Won my bracket last year (first time I ever did it) but I don't expect to go far this year.
  2. Good read overall. A far cry from the Gail Kerr hit-jobs.
  3. Another bump for getting closer to turkey time. This will be my first time out. Shooting a 3 1/2 load and will be hunting in Maury County. Wish me luck! This past deer season I saw some huge flocks in the area that I plan to hunt so hopefully they've hung around.
  4. My SHTF gun is a Glock Gen4 G22. High capacity, dependable and ready to go with some Winchester Ranger T RA40TA ammo.
  5. Welcome to the forum!
  6. Agreed. I'm on FB but spend little time on it. It's nothing but heavy advertising and companies doing data mining on your profile. I've debated several times on just deleting my account and probably will once they IPO which will open the site up to even more heavy data mining. I split the majority of my time between TGO and TundraTalk. Great forums!
  7. Never good. Just wait until Gail Kerr at the Tennessean gets her hands on the story.
  8. The PF-9 would have FTF. That's about the only experience I ever had with it before I sold it.
  9. I've had mine since October. Shot it a few times and never one failure so that's what is holding me back from selling it even though I don't like the long trigger pull. There is an after market trigger adjustment but I don't want to put another $150-200 into a $300 gun. I might check out that Springfield XDMs that you mentioned once it comes out. Otherwise I'm leaning towards a Glock Gen4 G27. My fingers is too well trained with Glocks and I'm not adjusting well to the LC9.
  10. As RCLARK mentioned Stone River is your best bet. Only $5 to shoot and targets are real cheap and plenty of lanes.
  11. I paid $325 for the standard LC9. Good sized pocket gun but the long trigger pull has taken some getting used to. Still on the fence if this is the long term gun for me.
  12. To add, I have a 2012 Tundra TRD Rock Warrior 4x4 CrewMax 5.7L V8 that was built in San Antonio, Texas. 80 percent of its parts are sourced from the U.S. or Canada, the 2012 Tundra is actually the most “American†full-size rig on the market. Strange, but true. Need a truck but can’t wrap your head around an American Toyota? The only other pickup trucks made in America out of North American parts are the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Ram Dakota. Just some food for thought. Seems to me that if the product and majority of the parts were made in America by Americans and sold to Americans it would be in the best interest of our countries benefit even though it is a foreign truck. Not really much about it is foreign at that point in my mind.
  13. Gail Kerr is the #1 reason that the Tennessean will never see another dime from my pockets for a subscription. Typical far left hit job on gun owners. Seems to be where she does her best work.
  14. Zero malfunctions with my G22 also. Planning on picking up a Gen4 G27 soon.
  15. Congrats! Took three months to get mine back in 2009. Glad to see things have caught up.
  16. Great gun! Congrats. Used to have a Gen3 G19 and want a Gen4 now. Also have a Gen4 G22 which has been great. Enjoy!
  17. That's all I own as well. Rugers and Glocks. Can't go wrong.
  18. I'll confess to doing more lurking than posting but am probably on here at least once or twice a day. I try to limit myself to about two different forums.
  19. Hardly a long wait. Mine took the full 90 days in 2009 but congrats!
  20. Why is your Hunting Safety course so long? When I took it last year it was only one day. You might also want to do the online course as a prep. There is a 100 question test at the end before you shoot. I think you have to have at least 75 or 80 correct to pass. It's all multiple choice.
  21. I owned a Gen3 Glock 19 for 3 years and sold it (mistake) but want another one. It was great and extremely reliable. I did sell it and buy another Glock though. Just not a 19. Can't have just one. I switch between my LC9 and G26. My Gen4 G22 is a little too big for carry.
  22. Love the Glocks. You can't have just one. I had a G19 Gen3 for three years and sold it recently and bought a G22 Gen4. The G22 Gen4 has been great but now I want another G19 again. Also have a G26 Gen3 that I carry. It's good to have a larger frame Glock for range / home defense and then a compact / sub-compact model for conceal carry.
  23. Keep an eye on this. We may not be doing any hunting at all this season: TN wildlife officers say hunting seasons at risk over dispute http://www.wsmv.com/story/16956566/tn-wildlife-commission-may-be-saved-by-legislature
  24. You get what you pay for with Kel-Tec. Plan on sending it back a lot. I had a terrible experience with a PF9 and sold it. Wasn't a dependable carry gun. Constant FTF.
