Congrats on the permit and welcome to the forum!

Looking forward to turkey season. Now you guys have me thinking about these protection gaiters to use with my Alpha LaCrosse Neoprene insulated hunting boots which are not snake proof. I hunt in the middle Tennessee area and have yet to see any snakes during hunting season but I'd rather not take the risk and will be perusing a set.

Member Since August 22nd, 2007. Can't really remember how I even found it or why I came to the site. Must have been bored at work or something as I managed the content filter on our firewall and was able to open up the site but sure glad I did, great site. All I had at the time was a Marlin 22LR back in 2007 and wasn't really too much into firearms until about 2 years later and have learned a lot being on this site.

In 2009 not long after Obummer got elected it took the full 3 months to receive mine.

The legislators responsible for bringing this legislative excrement to life are Representative Tom Rooney (R-Fla.) in the House of Representatives and Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT.) leading the Senate version. The three dissenters were Rep.Paul Broun R-Georgia, Rep. Justin Amash R-Michigan and Rep. Keith Ellison D-Minnesota. Rep. Ron Paul was reported earlier as having voted against the bill, but that was based on the original vote conducted 02/28/11. Rep. Ron Paul ABSTAINED on the final vote.

Wal-Mart has been contacted. Here is the email that I got back from Lamar recently: Thanks very much and letting me know what’s on your mind regarding the right to bear arms. I’m a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights. Congress should not pass laws that take away these rights from law abiding citizens and leave criminals to terrorize the streets. Good citizens don’t abuse guns – criminals do. I will continue to support legislative efforts to protect the Second Amendment rights of law abiding Americans, and oppose efforts to overturn the Second Amendment. In two recent cases, the U.S. Supreme Court clearly held that the Second Amendment protects the right of individual Americans to keep and bear arms. In the 2008 case, D.C. v. Heller, the Supreme Court held that D.C.’s restrictive gun laws violated the constitutional rights of Americans. Two years later, in McDonald v. Chicago, the court struck down the city of Chicago’s handgun ban and held that, like the federal government, state and local governments must respect Second Amendment rights. I joined legal briefs in both cases in defense of this constitutional right and was pleased with the Supreme Court’s decisions. I am grateful you took the time to let me know where you stand. I’ll be sure to keep your comments in mind as Second Amendment rights are discussed and debated in Washington and in Tennessee. Sincerely, Lamar

Jeremy Clarkson from "Top Gear" posted this on his Facebook page this week: "Americans. It took us 40 years to get rid of Piers Morgan. Pleasse don't send him back." Apparently the feeling is pretty mutual over in the UK.

How have you reacted personally? Bought guns? Mags? Ammo?

Stocked up on AR pmags this week. There seems to be a lot of price gouging going on. Ordered 10 from a website for $18.95 yesterday, now today they are $27.99 each. -
I went around 2PM and it was shoulder to shoulders. Didn't really see that many good deals and only stayed for about an hour.

Good call. I would do the same.

Residents outraged at shooting of white/albino deer
My hunting buddy did. That is a front yard in Brentwood, right off Granny White Pike.
I saw this deer on Wilson Pike near the park a few years back and pulled over and took a few pictures of it as well. Just glad it didn't dart out into traffic and went on into the woods. -
It is right past Nolensvilles Road on 96. They are a membership based butcher. If you are not a member you have to pay up front and it is about $85-90, at least is was last year.
How does their membership work? Did not see anything about it on their website.

Nice looking buck! Congrats. Took a doe on Thursday as I never saw any bucks while I was out.

Congrats to your son! Especially on public hunting land.

I have an S3 with Verizon and still waiting on Jelly Bean. It's a company owned device managed by a mobile device management system and will show as compromised if I use a custom ROM and loaded Jelly Bean. ugh.

TWRA range on Hobson Pike seems relatively safe. -
Posted this on another page but I'll post it here also. Took this doe on Thanksgiving morning while in West Virginia visiting family.

Nice looking buck. Congrats to your son! I make lots of venison jerky every year myself. I've got a good black pepper jerky recipe that is one of my favorites. -
