1. They could go all Starship Troopers and have em all together! They didn't have any problems in the movie so it should work in real life right?
2. You'd have to take it to a gunsmith to rethread the barrels for a choke.
3. Welcome to Tennessee! Clinton is a great area and it's just spread out enough to not feel to cityish if you know what I mean. If you're looking for a great place to shoot check out the places mentioned in an earlier post. I would be happy to show you around the ORSA facilities in Oak Ridge if time permits.
4. I'd say for nothing more than money yes. I've been able to shoot the Sparrow I have on hold at the range Im buying it from on both my pistol and rifle and absolutely love it. However I will say I have nothing to compare it to but would not consider buying anything else based on how well it works on both.
5. Googling for carry permit laws and stumbled upon it. And i'll say that I've yet to find any gun forum as well designed and maintained or with such high quality members as TGO. Everytime I visit a different site I cringe and immediately head back home to TGO.
6. Well once I get my stamp back around Marchish you're more than welcome to try out my Sparrow. I live about 5 minutes down the road from ORSA but with how quiet this can will be I'm sure we could shoot it just about anywhere! :)  I'll be putting it on my Ruger Lite and my Savage BTVS I just had threaded.
7. I'd go with a dedicated .22 can such as the SilencerCo Sparrow and then maybe a .45 Osprey to cover all the other pistol calibers. As far as rifle cans I'd go with one to cover the largest cailber you would see yourself shooting and then use it for anything else smaller. Yeah you'd end up with three cans but you'd have almost anything you could shoot covered. And as far as which one to buy first? That would all depend on your shooting habits. I went with .22 first since it's cheap and almost Hollywood quiet.
8.
Oh, stealth hawks exist all right. You hear that?.......Exactly.
Danja Zone!!!
9. But that'll cost me like $500 bucks for that much ammo!!! :)
10. For anyone considering a Weimaraner they go from this at 8 weeks to this at 6 months to this at one year And yes he's spoiled. In all seriousness though, too many people get this breed just based on how cute they look as a puppy with their blue eyes and all and don't stop to consider that this a breed that will positively own you if you don't take the time to train and exercise them. Please adopt responsibly. Too many Weims abandoned as it is.
11. Nope! Straight from the camera.
12. My crackhead Weim Jasper
13. I got stuck at Rafferty's one day having to overhear an older man berating his 20 something year old son about how he doesn't see the "need" for anyone to have a rifle that can shoot up to 1200 yards. It was the 1200 yards thing that perked my ears to their converstaion. He then went on to call his son selfish and immature to want something that could do so much damage and that he hoped to god that one day he would have kids of his own and understand what kind of danger he would be putting them in. :puke: Blah blah blah went the conversation with the son vainly trying to argue with him. But I could tell he wasn't informed enough on the facts so he had to just sit there and take it from him. I didn't want to have an argument right there in the restaurant so I quickly jotted down some facts for the guy on a napkin, paid my tab, and set it in front of him as I left. Things like: Who really "needs" half of the stuff we own? It's America. People died for the rights we currently enjoy. "Assault" is an action, not an object. And a couple more of the facts that folks on here know by heart. I know that I could have told that guy off unitl his ears bled and it wouldn't change his mind but I hope it at least gave the kid some ammo to fire back at that pompous idiot. Im glad they came in as I was finishing though. I might have actually told the guy to shove it if not.
14. I seriously debated not telling and even had it spackled before I left for work. However, the hole is smack in the middle of our ceiling above our bed so the color differentiation would have eventually ratted me out. Plus, I'm not always a lights off kinda guy ya know what I mean? :dirty:
15. Doctor: Do you have guns in your home? Me: Nope
16. This is why I hate politics! Nobody cares about the facts or the truth. Pointing out a parent of one of the dead children in the audience? Let's do the right thing by them? Bull**** Sad thing is, is that it's been this way since it's invention.
17. I don't get sound on videos at work but I can already smell the BS and that's just from reading their facial expressions. The camera keeps going back and forth from the kids to Obama. Tell me when it's over.
18. I can't judge because I wasn't there, but I can't honestly say I'd give a warning shot if some guy already had his hand through my glass door. Im glad they didnt have to shoot him though.
19. Its 10 pm and So far so good. No signs of water damage and couldn't see any obvious damage to roof. From looking at the angle it looks like it hit a big crossbeam. Gonna keep a eye on it though and take a closer look once its daylight.
20. What so you guys can rub it in? :) I'll see if I can get some for ya. I will say that the powder residue on the ceiling is my main cosmetic problem at the moment. The hole is pretty small considering. My main problem with a leak is all this dadgum rain we're having and me being able to get to it. Brazilnuts has offered to help me out though so it should all work out. The worst part of this whole thing was breaking it to the wife. I chickened out and texted her the news. It's a lot harder to hear the yelling through text.  :hiding:  :stick:
21. You know. It;s actually not that bad. I was surprised. I mean I immediately lost most hearing in my left ear but it just feels stuffy if you know what i mean, like too much wax or something. No pain though. My right ear which was facing away from it never really lost anything.
22. Never tell yourself it won't happen. Had a humbling experience this morning and have already chastised myself more than anyone on here can so let's move forward. i had a moron discharge while unloading my shotgun this morning but fortunately I had it pointed in a safe direction. This direction happened to be up so I now have a hole in my ceiling and possibly a hole in my roof. I have a single story house with a shingle roof and had the shotgun at about a 45 degree angle to the ceiling. I wasn't able to see any immediate damage to the roof and didn't see any water leaking. Doesn't mean it's not though. Any roofing guys on here run into this problem before? What's the best way for me to check on this? I'm just not sure if I should be looking for an obvious hole or cracks in the plywood. Hole was made with a slug.   P.S. I'm keeping the spent round as a reminder that you can never be too careful.
23. Pff....the way this government's going they'd also make you print your own handcuffs to haul you off in. "Look at the budget reductions Mr. President!"
