Baby survives! I can't imagine what was going through her head, and prayers for her family, but that baby had an angel looking out for it saying, "You're not taking this little one with you." http://www.wric.com/story/21646014/woman-jumps-8-stories-with-baby-in-arms-child-lives

Latest Class III: Guesses on Wait Time
gnmwilliams replied to Semiauto's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Oh I bet you'll get them back the minute the ATF lets you out of jail, gives you your house back, and clears your good name since they'll call you a terrorist for sending in 6 form 4's. :) -
It's all fun and games until someone gets bit. You'll chew your eye out! At least that's how I picture advice from a zombie mom.

Colorado Mag Limit Bill Affects Nearly All of Them
gnmwilliams replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
How in the world can these people still be in charge?! :wall: :wall: :wall: -
Well for those of you who read my earlier post about my shotgun mishap, it turns out that I did indeed put a half dollar sized hole in my roof. It was just in a wierd spot so I couldn't see it when I checked. I will say that if anyone in the Eastern TN area needs any roof work done, definitely give Tim Crowley of Crowley Construction a call. They put the roof on a couple years ago and were super quick to come back and inspect the results of my stupidness. I called them this morning and they were at my house this afternoon. Total cost to fill and seal the hole and replace the shingles so everything matches was $100 even. I figured that would be the best route to go in case I ever had any future insurance claims. Just thought I'd throw them a freeby here on TGO in case anybody else needs any holes in their roof patched. Though hopefully not from a shotgun blast! :)

Pelican 1500 with 6 handguns and 17 magazines
gnmwilliams replied to timcar86's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Cool set-up. It gives me some good ideas for my gear. -
This kind of crap is why I can't wait until the elections next year. I hope someone starts a list of every person up for election or re-election that had anything to do with any kind of gun control. It'd be interesting to keep track of just how many of these pieces of poo get sent to the un-employment lines.

They need more little things like the message written on the sign on the side of the highway in the "Clear" episode. I can't remember the exact message but the feeling of despair and sadness it brought on is what the show needs more of. That and the backpacker getting eaten.

Looks like Magpul will be moving
gnmwilliams replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I keep waiting to read a headline one day that says, "$hit just got real folks" reporting on a modern day Waco or Ruby Ridge or some type of attempted conviscation of someone's "arsenal". Not saying I'm looking forward to it but all it takes sometimes is one spark. And the tinder is getting pretty dry from the looks of things. -
No frikkin joke. Im hoping I can find some before my tax stamp comes in for my sparrow. Im gonna blow right through my last box of Federal bulk.

Awesome lookin pup! We worked on the bell routine when he had to potty and it seemed like ours caught on pretty quick. Just put one of those annoying little desk bells on the floor by the door and tap it with your foot and say "outside" any time the door is opened, even if someone's coming in and they'll pick it up quick.
-
Congrats! Great lookin pup. Get ready to have a fun, mischievous, loving, scary smart and steadfast companion for a long time. And remember, keep that bathroom door closed unless you want a second bath! :)

Now theres a petition to have a new National Anthem
gnmwilliams replied to jphillips63's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Doesn't mean there aren't people who'd change it if they could get away with it though. Just like the 2nd ammendment, or the pledge of allegiance, or in God we trust, or the Ten Commandments on the walls in schools...oh wait...they got that one. Constant vigillance is the price of liberty. But man it sure would be nice to be able to relax for a little bit! -
Now theres a petition to have a new National Anthem

Whether you believe in the biblical account of the Flood or not, you have to admit that it makes more and more sense after seeing how bad people are becoming these days. In fact, seeing how bad our society has become, and still not getting themselves wiped off the face of the earth, makes me wonder just how bad it had to get in the early days to bring an all-knowing, loving, and long-suffering God to the point of where even He decided to just wipe the slate clean and start fresh. Nothing surprises me anymore but there sure is a lot that worries me. -
.22lr ammo prices are high in Tennessee:)
gnmwilliams replied to graycrait's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
It's funny that you mention the price of a new rifle being less than ammo. Sounds a lot like Inkjet printers and thier cartridges! Who'd a thunk that guns would ever reach that point. (Sigh) -
"Only the weak survive." Now there's a depressing thought. Good episode overall though. Now if they can just keep them coming. I agree that the whole Woodberry plotline should be killed with fire. The comics did it a whole lot more justice and they ended it much better.

Latest Class III: Guesses on Wait Time

Just spoke with somone from the store and they said they're starting to see stamps come in from June and July applications so it's not looking good. :( -
I can tell you that at three feet a PDX1 shell makes one big hole. You're welcome to take a look at my bedroom ceiling as proof. Most any shotgun round will make one big hole at in-home distances unless the wad strays a little.

I highly recommend the Limb Saver pads if you're shoulder is getting beaten up. I can shoot slugs all day with that thing.

If you're in the market for a new flatscreen I can't recommend the Panasonic VT50 enough. I was lucky enough to find a 55'' on amazon at a discount now that the 2013 models have been announced. These TV's grabbed almost every award of the year last year and are capable of reference picture quality. Black levels are so good it seems like a black hole appears in the middle of the picture and the styling of this thing is sweet! When these were introduced last year they went for $2300 or more and I snagged this one on President's day for $1757. But I think it's back up to $1999. Yes, LED's are brighter but sacrifice color accuracy and light bleed in the process and yes, OLED's are coming around the bend, but those won't be affordable for a while so If you're looking for a high end, reference quailty TV, this is the one to get. This was me after turning it on...
