Same situation with my last purchase. Bought a Ruger Mark III Hunter plus a red dot sight. Gun showed up quickly, still waiting on the red dot. Can't get anyone to answer phones.

My uncle has one and is fun to shoot. However, you may want to read this link to see how it tested when it comes to penetration. Keep in mind, they're testing the 2 1/2'' model so I'm not sure what the 3'' would be like. The Box O' Truth #41 - The Taurus Judge Vs. The Box O' Truth - Page 1

My father just gave me his Ithaca Model 37 20 Guage shotgun. My problem is that I can't find any documentation on how to break it down to clean it. I know the barrel must come off somehow but don't want to scratch it up by using wrenches and stuff. I know there have been a ton of these manufactured so I don't know the exact age, but I do know that it was originally my grandfather's gun. Anyone know how to break one down or know where I can find a manual?

Nothing wrong with being frugal. However, take the advice from someone who has worked in a retail computer store for 8 1/2 years. Trying to repair a laptop charger can cause battery problems in the future. Heat and irregular voltages can occur when a cable isn't connected juuuust right. These two things can lead to your battery dying sooner than it's supossed to or worse, FIRE! I am currently using an old projector power cable, instead of a spliced cable, on my laptop because of a similar issue that you've just experienced. As long as the connector, voltage, and amperage is the same you should be good. Personally, I would feel fortunate that the actual pin on the laptop itself didnt break which would require a new motherboard. Buying a new cable is probably the safest, and in the long run, cheapest way to fix the problem. (Batteries or exploded laptops can be expensive!)

Canon or Epson have always been good choices. Epson has something called digital ICE which can touch up any blemishes on damaged or old negatives. These scanners are generally around 200-300 dollars.

I just ordered one of these Ruger 22LR 6 7/8 FIBER OPTIC, STAINLESS for Sale at Buds Gun Shop $458.00 today and am wondering what people's suggestions are for optics such as scopes or red dots. It's going to be just a fun gun and for the occasional varmint. It comes with a weaver rail. Thanks!

(Sigh) Can't win em' all can ya?

Just wondering if anyone realized that I didn't want to post the picture of the sight but was actually making fun of how THEY misspelled their advertisment on their own website and figured everyone would catch it. Plus, if I linked to the sight, and they fixed the spelling by the time some people read the post, then no one would get the joke. Guess that's what happens when you assume.

I'm just wondering if I should buy a sight from a website that lets something like that slip through? Any thoughts?

I have gone shooting with both reloads and all copper cheapy stuff and can tell you that with the reloads there is a HUGE difference in the amount of lead you take home with you. With reloads, my thumbs were almost silver with lead from loading mags and my hands were covered in lead dust and powder. Of course, the powder in the reloads burned a little too dirty for my taste but it was all that was available. In hind-sight, I could have avoided most of the grunge by wearing gloves.

Looks like the one guy needs to hold down the thumbstick and the other guys needs to turn on stopping power! Wonder what their killstreak totals were?

As sad and messed up as it is, it's not uncommon for criminals, especially in the drug trade, to target the dogs. I hope they find them and throw them to the one that survived.

Who needs a supressor when Chuck Norris can teach you how to kill deer with only a straw and a spitball? -
I keep saying, "Blades don't need reloading!"

By the way, everyting I say is totally in jest, but just to argue the shotgun school of thought is that it all depends if the zombies you are facing are attracted to sound or not and if the infection can be spread from ingesting infected blood and tissue. If so, than the noise of most firearms will be loud enough to attract more zombies and the blast of a shotgun could possibly splatter infected blood into open wounds or other exposed areas. Just some "food" for thought.

I find it better to be well versed in anti-zombie technques than to be lunch myself. Shaolin Spade - An answer for "Weapon of Choice When Fighting A Zombie" at Grupthink

That's why the weapon of choice (at least accourding to the Zombie Survival Guide) is the 10' Shaolin spade! But yes, guns are waaay more fun

Sadly most manufacturer's warranties will not cover physical damage. However, if you don't want to send it to Nikon you could try to take it to a Wolf Camera if you have one close. The problem with DSLR's is that there are so many parts that it's difficult to quickly locate the problem which causes the delays in repair turn around time. Nikons are great cameras but unfortunately, as is the case with many electronic devices, the cost of repairs can quickly equal or exceed the cost of replacement depending on the problem.

My wife and I were waiting in the lobby of Famous Dave's in Knoxville last night and witnessed a customer being asked by the staff to leave his gun in his car. I walked outside to look at their windows and didn't see any signs or official posting about no guns. We were seated before I was able to see how it played out but was just wondering if anyone has had any other problems at a Famous Dave's?
