  1. Anyone know if there will be a 2010 series of shooting contests like last year?
  2. Now locating every walmart within an hour of Columbia, TN.....processing.....processing.....reporting 2,000,369,000 walmarts within 80 miles.......error....error......
  3. -When you took a job at a bank in a Walmart just so you could walk back to sporting goods and buy ammo on your breaks.
  4. Than I'd burn up my mail! But then again, it's just bills, so that may work. Unfortunately my branch doesn't use dye packs anymore cause' they are surpisingly expensive but I may be able to improvise my own. But I'm not that worried anymore cause my HCP came Saturday! Woot!

    XD or XDm

I love my XD-m9 but I agree that you can't go wrong with any XD. However, I wouldn't think the shorter barrel on the new 3.8 version would affect your ability to conceal it. It's usually the grip size that affects that. And I agree that it does have a big grip. I'm just a little larger around the waist than most so I guess it doesn't show as much!
  6. Sadly I am just kidding about electrifying the mailbox idea but the rattlesnake, hmmmmmm (scratches chin ominously)
  7. Let me begin by aksing a question. What would you do if you caught two guys looking in your mailbox at 10:30 at night? I was letting the dog out the other night and watched two men walk right up to my mailbox, which was a good distance away from where I was, and open it and look inside. I proceeded to yell and chase them off, which the dog loved, but wasn't able to get a good look at them. I had already discovered trash stuffed in it a few weeks before so I have been keeping a close eye on it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to secure or perhaps electrify a mailbox? JK but I'm about to that point. I've called the police and let them know but they basically said there's not much they can do but keep an eye out for it.
  8. Hopefully mine's there too. I caught two guys looking in my mailbox last night around 10:30. Cops basically told me they'd keep an eye out but not much else they can do.
  9. Not sure of any in Lenior city but I live in Oak Ridge, which isn't too far, and get mine at the Ace Harware on Tri-Cities Blvd. They only charge 20 for the transfer and 10 of course for the back ground check. You may also wanna try Austin's TN Firearms too. They are a little closer but I'm not sure of their fees.
  10. Ooh I've seen them! I'll go with you and we'll co-ordinate our efforts!
  11. Sadly my work has blocked it but seeing that the bank I work at is in a Wal-mart I see it all first hand! (bleh) scary stuff sometimes
  12. Forget everything else you've seen gentlemen. THIS is the ultimate sleeping bag. ThinkGeek :: Tauntaun Sleeping Bag
  13. Not true with any of the new PS3's. They took away the compatability chip to save money. I have both but prefer the 360 for shooter's and online play. No, Xbox live isn't free, but is waaaaay more organized and at only $50 for 13 months, it's not really that much when you consider all the extra downloadable content for games and how smooth your online experience will be. Definitely go with a 360 with a hard drive though. It lets you install the games from you disk to your hard drive so your load times will be much shorter. Still need the disk to play though.
  14. Same here. Mine was issued on the 18th and sent to the printers on the 22nd. Should be here any day.

  16. Im gonna go to my happy place and pretend I didn't read this thread! ;)
  17. So I got back from shooting yesterday and discovered a four inch scratch right down the side of the slide of my XDM. :cry:It doesn't feel deep but I can see silver which makes me think it got through the finish. Does anybody know of a way I can buff, paint, or polish it away? I took a cloth and some light oil to it last night but that didn't really look like it helped.
  18. I like their range but I can agree that their customer service is lacking. I've felt many times that I am not worth their time and have also found that I can find things much cheaper, even locally, than their store.
  19. -Ruger Mark III Hunter -Red Dot sight -Assassin's Creed 2 -Left 4 Dead 2 -Halo 3 ODST -Guitar Hero 5 -Uncharted 2 -Assorted Movies -ORSA Membership Dues! -Money for the Savage rifle I have my eye on but should be spending on a new washer/dryer
  20. Nice collection! Looks like someone went a little macro crazy! But not bad for no tripod.
  21. Congrats! Hope it's more than "just-an-engagement" and turns into "just a wedding"!
  22. I walked into a used Nissan dealership last year and said I was looking for a Honda Element. The guy said "We have something similiar!" He showed me the Cube. I walked out.
