  1. Probably trying to sell the Goody's as cocaine and using the condoms as packaging. Maybe the Red Bull was to simulate the effects of the fake crack so the buyers would believe them? No clue as to what the Pepto was for. Maybe to counteract the effects of the Red Bull.
  2. +1 for Canon! Little hint - The best investment you can make into photography isn't the camera itself, but the lenses you buy for it. I would recommend Canon's 50mm prime lens to supliment the kit lens. It doesn't zoom but makes wonderful low light pics and portraits. Plus it's only around $99 on the web. With the kit lens and the prime, you should be able to cover just about anything you would encounter in a normal situation.
  3. Is it just me or does logo on the slide look like it was drawn with an etcha-sketch? Other than that nice guns!
  4. Ok so while someone needs to lighten up a bit, he does raise a vaild issue. I would have drawn because I wouldn't have known if they were going to get out. But I can't say I would shoot at a moving car that was trying to run me over. Even if you hit the driver, the car won't stop moving. I'd be more concerned about getting my rear out the way!
  5. Ok good. Cause I was gonna say if ya'll were only together for 4 years, "Push her in front of em and run!" JK! Seriously though, I would've drawn as well because I wouldn't have known if they were going to pull up, jump out, and force me inside the house. It's happened before!
  6. I wouldn't worry about the whole "one shot stop" measurments. Reliable expansion and shot placement under stress are what you need to focus on. I don't think you'd be able to find anyone willing to stand in front of a 147 grain vs. a 115 to test it anyway so don't worry as much about that. However, I do agree that most of the better performing rounds these days are the lighter weight, bonded core rounds.
  7. Correct. You do not need a permit to fire a weapon in an approved environement.
  8. Sounds awsome! A friend of mine's dad goes every once in a while and only has to pay for what he shoots. But he gives it all to the local villages anyway. You should ask if they are in an area that has an overpopulation of ivory-absent elephant. Some local populations of Ivory tusked elephants are in danger of having their Ivory bred out by non-tusked elephants so the local governements will sometimes let you hunt the non-tusked ones for free. Lotsameat! Just make sure you have a good, fast jeep if ya miss!
  9. Wow...I usually make up voices for people based on their avatars. But after reading all of these posts I'm gonna have to re-think that! Seriously though when I read I usually hear my own voice. I guess in this day and time it's the only intelligent conversation a guy can get sometimes! (Present TGO company excluded of course)
  10. Thought all the dad's in here would like this. application for permission to date my daughter - StumbleUpon
  11. +1 I spent 17 years in that area too before I left for college. I do agree that it is a block by block situation but all ya have to do is get a junker car to take down there and leave your good stuff up here! My car growing up didn't even have a key hole in the door. Just a cable to keep it shut. Oh and the tooth pick I had to use to turn the stereo on probably kept em away too.
  12. I have shot with BrazilNuts who is a member of TGO who has been kind enough to let me shoot some pretty cool steel targets he's made. They are basically steel squares hung from a wooden post and crossbar that are mounted to steel hooks that let them swing in a controlled path. He also made some basic steel plates that are at an angle to deflect shots. They all make a nice "ping" when hit. I'm sure he would be able to give you more details on their construction. Sorry B-nuts if I robbed you of a post!
  13. I carry my XDM9 in a Minotaur IWB holster at the 3 o'clock position at it's lowest clip position, meaning the gun is at its highest. Even though the gun sits higher on my waist, it is waaaaay more comfortable this way and still doesn't print. I agree that a good belt and holster make a world of difference. I can drive, sit, kneel, and bend over without ever feeling confined like some holsters can make you feel. I'm 6' 280lbs. and I admit I have some handles. There, I said it!
  14. I guess he's having problems hearing all the voices in his head
  15. Mayday! Mayday! This thread's goin' down!
  16. What happens when everyone flushes at the same time. Radio Shack Explodes on Sixth Avenue - Radio Shack - Gizmodo
  17. You make me jealous! I had to wait the whole 90 days-ish. Rusty nuts says poo!
  18. A 9 month old Weimaraner who thinks he rules the world. His 7 month old pic is in my profile page.
  19. I recently took my Ruger Mark III Hunter out to the local range to test out my Barska red dot sight. Much to my dismay, due to the snow on the ground, I couldn't locate the dot however hard I tried. I know it had fresh batteries and was set on the brightest dot setting, and had been previously sighted in on an in-door range so I know everything was working properly. My questions are: "Is this washing out just due to it being such a cheap sight? "Should I try something different like an open reflector model? "Or should I just scrap the idea altogether and try a scope?" Thanks to BrazilNuts I have used, and really liked, and now want, a model by TruGlow. The dual color, multiple reticle, open reflector model. Any thoughts? -Oh, and the Barska is the size of a soda can so that kinda loses points for it too.
  20. I've found Walmart's boxes of 50 count Federal @9.49ea to be the best buy. When you can find them.
  21. Know what else glows under a blacklight? Highlighters!!! And you thought I was gonna say somethin else. Seriously though...The dashes on the highway are as long as your car. Why are there handicapped spots at a skating rink? Why do drive through ATM's have braille on them?
  22. Wow. I used to live right off Tulip Grove road until I moved out here. And I used to work right off Lebanon road. Seems like I just missed all the fun! JK. I grew up in Memphis so I can kinda sympathize with how upset people get when fit starts hitting the shan in their neighborhoods.
