I've been trying to find a compact 1911 chambered in 9mm and came across the Para Ordinance Carry 9. Anyone here used it yet or have any thoughts? I know Springfield makes a compact 9mm but I just can't justify spending over a grand on something like this.

I believe you do have a right to self defense, constitutional or not. While I believe that you shouldn't just be able to carry a gun without first be trained in proper firearm handling and laws, I personally don't believe that any government should have the ability to restrict the means of defending your own life or the lives of others.

I left 100 rounds of 9mm on the seat of my car for over a month once, in this kind of heat we've been having, and haven't had any problems with them. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think it takes a couple hundred degrees of heat to ignite the primer. Not 100% sure on that though...

I have used many different platforms and OS's through out the years and still haven't found anything as user friendly as the MAC OS or Iphone OS. Sure, every new product will have its problems but what's funny is that when it's another company (HTC EVO with their screen problems for example) that has a problem you don't hear anything about it. But when Apple has some issues everyone jumps on the bash Apple bandwagon. Kinda like when a politician is caught cheating on his wife the media flips out, but when Joe Schmo does the same thing people just shrug their shoulders. Oh and to address the whole Apple users are snobs comment: I believe that Apple products are superior not their users. I won't hold it against anyone who prefers something over Apple...ever. And you certainly won't hear me seriously bashing people just becuase they like another product...unlike some other folks round here.

Just got mine yesteday and haven't seen any of the problems that have been reported. No yellow screen (which is just the adhesive for the screen that hasn't dried yet) no dropping signal (even in bare hand) and no lag in facetime (strong wifi signal). Oh and I'd be willing to test the screens shatter limit against anyones head if they would like to step up. Might almost be worth it on some people. Not gonna name any names though (cough cough)

I'll be updating my wife's 3gs tomorrow and that'll be the first thing I try. If I get it to work I'll let ya know how!
