  1. ".....sadly walks away holding his .50AE limply by his side as the instructor breathes a sigh of relief."
  2. Maybe this would work? I wonder how much the conversion cost would be? http://www.museodelarmablanca.com/tiendas/catalogo/images/BackBaldricWithIntegralScabbardII.jpg
  3. Or if your on the west side of Knoxville check out the Oak Ridge Sportsman's Association. It's more expensive per year but has quite a few nifty ranges, including trap and skeet towers as well as a 1000 yard range for those who like to reach out and touch someone. I'd be happy to take you on a free tour if you're interested. Just PM me.
  4. I work for a bank and I hate it when someone comes up with a counterfeit bill. Nothing worse than having to say, "I'm sorry, but I have to take your fake bill and send it to the secret service. You may or may not get it back. Have a nice day." It stinks but it's Federal law and could come back to bite you if you give it back. "I swear officer! The bank knew it was fake but let me keep it and told me to get rid of it somewhere else!" Yeeeaaaah.....no. Oh and FWIW, I'll tell you that we see more fake 20's and 10's than 100's. Nobody suspects lower denomination bills as much as the larger ones.
  5. I carry a long in the shorts... Oh, not what you were asking huh?
  6. Is that close to Murphy's "holler"?
  7. I'd tell you but then I'd have to....wait. Nah, just a squirrel assassin. That, and being able to practice in my basement without having to use my Xbox as the excuse to the cops for the noise. Then again, I do live next door to a funeral home so I don't have many noise complaints from the neighbors. Once I do get my supressor though, I plan on getting some driving gloves and storing them everything else in a black leather breifcase, just to spook anyone who gets nosy. Maybe it'll be my halloween "costume". Hmmmmm....
  8. I'm thinking about putting a supressor on my Mark III and didn't want the extra noise that the action would add when it cycles. However, from what I'm reading, it doesn't look like it adds that much.
  9. So I finally had enough of those three little pins mocking me for my lack of courage to tap them out and get dirty. It's kind of refreshing to be able to get at each individual part and give it a good scrubbing once in a while. Oh, and I would highly reccomend you do this inside of a plastic bag or something so you don't spend 10 min. crawling around trying to find your trigger plunger spring that popped out, all while trying to keep your dog from finding it first. Turns out he likes the taste of gun scrubber and carbon. Mmmmm. Anywho, I've got a new target trigger, target sear, titanium disconnect rod, and extractor coming from Volquartsen in a few days so we'll see how that goes!
  10. I just read that it is possible and even safe to hold the bolt closed on a Ruger .22 pistol if you are wanting to keep it in a single fire mode. This was online so it must be true! JK. Anyone here know if this is possible and safe for your gun and your fingers? I am thinking of getting a suppressor for my Mark III and want a way to keep the action from cycling after every shot to keep the noise down.
  11. Anyone see the last episode of White Collar? Gotta give em' props for using a Ruger Mark II with a Tactical Solutions reciver and a Red Dot for the assassin's weapon. Subtract points for picking the most time consuming pistol to assemble and use for an assassin's weapon. But hey, it looks cool on TV! Oh and subtract more points for the scene where he ejects a round from the body guards gun before he removes the mag and sets it on the table. Sheesh....
  12. I'd like to own some but I just can't seem to find Birk's in stock. (yeah yeah, couldn't resist) Glad everything turned out ok!
  13. I think I saw him at the Walker Springs Walmart the other day. Course that is his secret ammo location so it figures. Ooops! Was that out loud? Heh heh heh. (scurries back to sporting goods to head him off)
  14. Is your neighbor building an EMP generator next door? Electricity rates are cheaper at night!
  15. Just make sure she doesn't eat jello and then puke it up from pain meds. Once the swelling starts going down, you start leaking liquid jello from your sinuses.......not that that's happened to me or anything. Oh, and I can sympathize with her. No helmet + a 4-wheeler + gun rack on said 4-wheeler = 6 stitches almost exaclty where her picture shows them. Not fun.
  16. I can just picture someone running around in their front yard blasting holes in the ground. Doesn't get much better than that! God bless America!
  17. Cool. If anybody else has some better suggestions too I'm all ears.
  18. I have an Ithaca Model 37 20 guage that I am wanting a choke for. It is currently un-threaded, so I know I'll have to get that done first but has anyone here heard of or used a selectable choke called Poly-choke? +'s or -'s if so?
  19. D2D Salesmen...Double Tap! Sorry, I'll stop now.
  20. I just can't get over the protesters signs saying they (as illegal aliens) won't come to Arizona if they pass the law. Kinda the point right?
  21. Just shoot the one in the middle!
  22. HCP holder walks up to house. "Eek! Douple-tap!" "Oh....sorry man....it cost how much?!"
