  1. When you installed the target trigger did you remember to put the little plunger back in with the spring? Or you might have accidentally put the sear spring in backwards but I'm thinking more of a missing or gummed up trigger return spring.
  2. I would go ballistic if that happened to me. Words cannot describe so I'm not gonna try. Keep us posted on the situation.
  3. Ah true...I was thinking strictly movies. But great book too!
  4. Wouldn't the correct order be I Am Legend was based off of Omega Man and Omega Man was besed off of Last Man on Earth? Sorry those are just some of my favorite movies of all time!
  5. The original and best of all time in my opinion is, "The Last Man on Earth" It's what I Am Legend is based off of and is what inspired George Romero's Night of the Living Dead. Yeah they're technically vampires but are much closer to zombies than the poor excuses for monsters in I Am Legend.
  6. I can guarantee you that the first time some thug gets shot while trying to assault a bystander during a flash mob people are going to think twice about participating in random violence.
  7. Not saying it couldn't happen here but anyone notice that these are usually happening where the average person isn't allowed to carry a gun in public or at least have easy access to one?
  8. Just wanted to let anyone who's considering an Otterbox case for anything they own that Otterbox is a company that continues to impress and amaze me. I purchased a case from them last September and noticed the next day that the plastic screen on the front already had a huge scratch from the keys in my pocket. I immediatley thought, "Oh great, now I'm gonna have to live with this" but decided to ask the Otterbox warranty department if they could do anything about it anyway. I told them what happened, truthfully by the way, and recieved an email back saying that a replacement was on the way free of charge. Now keep in mind the only part damaged was the plastic screen but I recieved a box containing a whole new kit complete with a new belt holster and case! I now had two brand new belt holsters and a scratch free case with a backup for just in case. Now fast forward almost a year and I have just broken the tabs off of the second belt holster and can't get it to stay on my belt. I again emailed Otterbox and told them about it and have just recieved an email stating that since it is so close to the end of my one year warranty............that they are going to send TWO brand new belt cases so I can have use of their product for as long as possible! Long story I know and not very relevant for the site but I know a lot of folks on here are rough on their stuff and just wanted to share a refreshing experience with everyone.
  9. I did a full Volquartsen make-over on my Mark III hunter and ran into trouble with light strikes when using the Volquartsen hammer. Once I switched that one part back to factory orignal I never came across the problem again except for a few cheap ammo problems.
  10. Jeremiah 30:16 - Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that despoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey. Rest in peace little one and take heart knowing that this evil creature is in captivity and will soon be devoured and preyed upon by the very evil he gave his soul to, in this life and the next.
  11. Wait a minute, it said the robber's gun was a fully loaded .25 cal. Did it ever say what caliber the victim was using? - Nevermind. Beat me to it.
  12. An unloaded gun is just a club. I keep all of mine loaded, even my .22's, because you never know which one you'll be able to get to in an emergency. And no, you never should point a gun at anything you don't intend to destroy. Sad story.
  13. Took my HCP class there and liked it alot. Cept for the lady next to me who couldn't hit her target from the 4 foot mark.
  14. Oh I agree that many of the fees are very unwarranted and posting policies will vary from bank to bank. However, and this is just a general heads up, starting later this year, don't be surprised if more and more banks begin to charge fees for more things. It's not general knowledge yet but most banks will be eliminating their free checking accounts altogether. And before you say yours won't, most banks haven't sent out the memos to their clients yet, and many won't they'll just start charging all of a sudden. It's gonna get dicey!
  15. I find it amusing that banks have been and always will be the common thing to complain about. Of course they'll try to get you to open an account to avoid a fee! They're in business to make a profit. Cashing hundreds of checks for non-clients per day adds up to a lot of fees and operating costs in back end processing. It's either charge the presenter of the check or charge the business owner for the check cashing fees. I'd bet you'd hear a lot less complaining from the business owner if that happened and a whole lot more telling people to get a bank account. Credit Unions are great but are non-profit entities so they don't have to worry so much about fees. And even some of them are having to start charging their clients fees just to cover operating costs. As far as the order of which checks they pay through first, most banks will pay the largest first, not so they can get more fees, but that in the event you write more checks than what you have money for (don't even get me started) your larger and more important purchases will be paid first and you won't get as much flack from the people who you did bounce checks on. I'd rather have my mortage paid and let my check to the baby-sitter bounce than risk a negative impact from my lender. But back to my original point, people who only use a bank to cash their checks or even open an account just to avoid a fee aren't the type of clients that banks want honestly. They don't make the bank any money and in some cases actually cost them money. I won't say I agree with all of any bank's policies but I can understand where they are coming from. And no, I don't work for Regions but I stay away from them because of their no carry policy and lack of customer service, not their fees.
  16. Welcome to the states! I grew up in Memphis and can say that they do have great BBQ but you'll have a better trip the further east you come. As far as the shooting ranges go, I live near the Knoxville area and would be happy to take you shooting here at our local range if you decide to come this far east. The only cost to you would be for ammunition. No permits or special papers would be neccessary. Just PM me if you're interested and have a great trip! - Oh, and there's nothing wrong with being a gun nut!
  17. (sigh) I know I say this everytime some says "just give them that they want" but here it is again, http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handgun-carry-self-defense/58461-people-who-say-just-give-them-what-they-want.html Giving a robber what they ask for does not mean they will automatically leave you alone or alive! It's better to risk taking a bullet while fighting back than taking the risk of them shooting you anyway while you stand there with a surprised look on your face.
  18. Sorry but if a relative of mine who I thought was dead just appeared at my doorstep my first response would be, "blam blam!" and then run away shouting "I knew they existed!"
  19. So would these zombies have brains to even shoot?
  20. It's beautful out there. My wife's favorite thing were the yards with gravel and cacti instead of grass oddly enough.
