I hate to tell you but I am the reason CCA didn't have an SR1911. I have been searching for almost a year for the SR and just happened to call Wednesday. Low and behold they said they had just gotten one in and I promptly put my down payment on it! However I did get to play with it and the trigger is nice but can still get better. Not a problem IMO since I will get a trigger job done anyway. Fit and finish was awsome though with no rattle. They did say that Ruger is ramping up production so they may have some more soon. If you haven't made a choice by the end of January when I pick mine up I would be happy to let you shoot it if you want so you could get a feel for it.

What are they trying to say about the extended magazine capacity question? Like it would matter how many rounds a mag holds. It only takes seconds to load another 10 round mag, and another one, and another one...blame the shooter not the euqipment. Sorry I know I'm preaching to the choir but grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Sounds like somebody needs to stop being so sensitive and get to know the folks here on TGO better. Nobody's a Bible thumper and most of us don't get so riled and agitated if someone rubs us the wrong way. Here we go again. Buds is bad, Buds is good. I personally have had nothing but great service from them but it all depends on who you talk to. They do have a couple shmucks answering phones that should be cleaning the bathrooms instead but overall, their customer service, shipping, and pricing has been excellent, for me, that is.

Been looking at getting a Savage BTVS in .22 for a while now and am wondering if anyone here has owned or used one and what thier thoughts were as to the quality and accuracy of the rifle and what accessories should I need to get the most out of it?
